Chapter 9: Heart speaks to Heart

I'm so sorry guys for late update been so busy with a protest in my country #endsars, #SARSMUSTEND
The police are killing, raping and hurting people just cause we have iPhones and we dress nice and it's a lot to take in but this is something we face in Nigeria. On the 20 of October 2020, armed soldiers opened fire on people protesting peacefully at the toll gate leading to the metropolitan region called Lekki-tollgate, yes the flag you see was soaked in the blood of innocent people, how can you shoot at unarmed people holding their countries flag we aren't safe anymore in my country no one is safe here.
We aren't a trend, this isn't something we want to use to trend our country it's a fight we the youths have decided to take upon our shoulders, they had been a lot of mindless killing and I've had my fair share of encounters and I'm still reeling from the nightmares and terror it's so tiring, sorry guys for updating so late.

"I'm in hell" Emil groans, he couldn't decide what he wanted—Coke or Pepsi—as much as he loved Coke, Pepsi just gave you that certain ummphhh.

"Don't be a rat face and pick or else we'll miss the movie and if we miss it, you'll find out how hell really feels like" Cassey says smiling sweetly her eyes literally snarked at the brunette.

"Sheesh I'm coming okay, JJ, a or b" he asks tapping Joon who wasn't paying much attention

"b" Joon says absentminded, he felt antsy like trouble was headed their way.

"No!!!!! Arghhh Coke it is then" Emil sighs turning to order his soda.

"Are you okay" the blonde noticed how her friend kept gnawing on his lower lips, anymore and he'd bleed.

"Yeah" he answers,

"Joon maybe we should go back home and you could rest—

"No, what no I'm fine can you stop I'm actually okay"

"Got my Coke I'm ready to go" Emil nudges Joon "You alright"

"Yes I'm fine can you guys stop asking me that" Joon smiles at his friends although he felt anything but, he felt hot, too hot.

"You don't look so good Joon" she says moving closer to the raven-haired boy.

"I'm fine just stress—

"Jae Joon is that you" Kyle says making Joon turn so fast he falls on one knee.

"Shit" he winced at how dizzy he felt, the trio surrounding him, before Emil could grab him Kyle was already on his knees holding Joon whose eyes closed slowly, his limbs going limp.

"Is he okay" Kyle ask,

"I don't think so, we need to leave now" Cassey sounded panicked, "Okay" Kyle hoisted Joon carrying him bridal-style, the latter was mumbling incoherently.

"My car is that way" Kyle says jutting his head towards a sleek black car.

"I'll ride with you, Emil take my car and take us to Joon's house"  Cassey hands Emil her car keys before walking towards Kyle, who couldn't take his eyes of Emil he seemed familiar somehow.......
