Chapter 16: Siblings and Deceit

Reon frowned, his hands folded at the set of people before him; eight pair of puppy dog eyes all looking at him in earnest, a pair of hazel ones identical to his own, his frowned deepened and they all hung their heads,

"You've really done it this time"

"If you frown any further you're gonna get wrinkles" his sister spoke pouting like she didn't scare half the students in his class to death by her eccentric ostentatious entrance,

"Why are you here, and why are you with so many bodyguards....which I'll come back to later you guys don't even think about getting out of this one without a good scolding" he says pointing at the men in suits before turning to his sister

"I got an off day today and I wanted to see you"

"What happened to you calling my phone"

"I did"

"I didn't get any missed calls"

"I called your other phone" she grinned before winking,

He scoffed "Rina I've told you before we don't have a telepathic connection"

"Of course we do, we're twins you just don't know how to use yours yet" she proudly declared, he could see the men behind her nodding, look at them....so shameless

"Keep nodding until your heads fall off" he scolded, they abruptly stopped,

"Leave them out of this, like I said I came here to play, it's been a while I played"

"We have a piano at the house why'd you have to come here to play one"

"You're not home and I hate playing alone" his sister was such a sulky child, sometimes he wondered if she was actually older, maybe his parents got it wrong, he couldn't blame them they looked too much alike when they were younger that was until they both developed too much to be exact replicas of each other, but even then they still looked alike, and she still refuse to stop cutting her hair like his, he smiled looking at her,

"I also wanted to meet Joon"

That wiped the smile off his face,

"No way, No No No" he shook his head as he chanted the word

"Awww come on Reon if I didn't get involved you'd still be stuck at phone duty" she was correct,

"He's not ready yet, we haven't even made our relationship official" his sister burst out laughing, her laughter echoed and bounced across the walls of the class, thankfully it was sound proof or the whole college would probably be shaken by the cackle of a fourth generation heiress,

"Are you done" he sent daggers her way with his hazel-fresco eyes, they've somewhat lost their luster compared to before, Reon's sister noticed she also noticed his troubles were back, when he was younger he'd always had nightmares and seizures, one day while they were playing soccer he had an attack and went into coma right after only to wake up with his eyes a different color and his memory completely gone, however the troubles had stopped, it shocked everyone but it was also a relief, their parents made her promise never to mention it to him, she felt they'd kept him in the dark for too long, what if his seizures came back too, he'd asked her not to tell her parents, but she wasn't gonna just keep quiet and watch him crumble away, she wanted to meet the boy who'd brought back the very thing they all feared, if her parents knew it was because of Joon they'd ensure he stayed a millions of  miles away from Reon, she felt at fault too when their Aunt had suggested Reon opt in for her while she was on sabbatical, she was happy they were finally gonna be in the same city and urged him to come but now.....she looked at him sighing, now she just wanted his luster back,

"That's a heavy sigh" he sits down to nudge his sister "What's wrong"

"You like this guy so much you don't want me to meet him, how selfish of you, scared I'll steal him from you"

"Not a chance"

"Wanna bet"

"Knock it off before I tell Mum you're going back to your ways of kleptomania"

"I'm serious I want to meet him" she smiles,

"I want you to but he's really special, plus he gets scared easily and he's so quick to pull away, I don't know....maybe someone hurt him before"

"If he can't stand a bit of scare then he's not the one, if he wants you he should be able to stand up to your family and be headstrong for you, plus you know we aren't that type to purposely put on airs to make things difficult for someone you like"

"I don't want to over whelm him"

"My advice, don't beat around the bush, lay everything you've got on the table, then let him decide if it's over whelming or not" her watch beeped making her groan,

"That's your cue to leave and go save a life"

"But I'm off duty today"

"Well sorry not sorry" he laughed "I'll see you out"

"No you stay here and think about how you'll get Joon over to dinner at my house" she winks before dashing out,

"What dinner??" he says loudly as his sister exits the room waving, a few seconds later his phones rings,

"Didn't you just leave a—

"Ohhh I didn't tell you....well now I'm telling you I'm having a dinner party on Sunday and you're invited, you, Joon and all your friends and his friends, there's gonna be a big announcement so don't even think about not coming" she cuts the call not giving Reon a chance to protest

"Arghhh she kills me" he pulled at his hair unbeknownst to him she was at the door quietly laughing, after watching him she turns to leave, only to catch a glimpse off a girl clutching her chest, she looked to be in pain

"Are you okay" she rushed over to the girl, her medical instincts kicking in, placing a hand on her shoulder

"Yeah I'm fine" Cassey looked at her, looked at the men behind, before looking at her again, was it her imagination or did this chick look exactly like Reon, except with softer more feminine feature,

"I'm a doctor, You looked to be in pain and also pale" Rina reached out to touch her forehead it was slightly damp

"I'm alright, Thank you for asking but I'm okay Ma'am" she avoided the other woman's gaze it made her uncomfortable,

"Ahhh just call me Rina here's my card after your class you should probably come for a check up, better safe than sorry" she hands her card to Cassey smiling,

"Thank you" Cassey took the card, the name made her eyes bulged slightly, she was right this lady and Reon were related, "I better get to class"

"Right, I'll be expecting you" out of pure habit Rina winks before having anytime to stop herself, damn hopefully she didn't come across as a flirt rather than a concerned doctor,

"Y-Yeah" Casey quickly pushed the door hurriedly walking in, not forgetting to hide the card from Joon who had worry etched all over his face,

"Where were you?, I thought you were right behind me and why do you look like that?"

"My earring dropped so I tried looking for it and stop being a worry wart class is about to start"

From his recollection Cassey didn't have any earrings on today, did she lie but Cassey never lies,

So which was it,

Was his memory wrong or........Did his best friend just lie to him?
