Sara woke up earlier than usual most likely caused by the drinking making it difficult for her to fall into a deep sleep. Her head was throbbing, but she wasn't dizzy and even though the end of the night had been a blur, it told her she had slowed down the drinking once she loosened up some. She had a wonderful time with Grayson and he had been perfectly polite and didn't even drink so he could give the girls a ride home in their car so they didn't have to worry about a ride home. He'd be heading to get his car in a few hours before it got towed.
As she shifted positions, the dim sunlight pouring through the crack in her curtains hit her eyes and caused her head to throb incessantly. She groaned as she clutched the side of her head and got out of bed to find relief. Once Sara reached the medicine cabinet in her en-suite bathroom she took a few aspirin pills, and leaned over the sink as she splashed her face with cold water. She knew hangover or not, there wasn't a snowball's chance in Hell that Taylor was going to let her get out of the bike ride that they had planned today. She had been waiting for it and promised that she wouldn't force them to go on more than two this week, much to Avery's displeasure to still go on them. In exchange, Avery demanded to visit the zoo later as they had when they were teens.
"One last zoo trip together before we leave Avalon for good." That was all it took to convince them, but that meant Sara had to be awake and functioning to do any of it.
After a few more splashes, she hopped into the shower and spent nearly a half an hour just letting the hot water pound against her body and soak her hair. By the time she got out and dried off, she was already feeling a little better thanks to the aspirin for kicking in. With a refreshed feeling in her spirit, she dressed quickly, dragged a brush through her hair, and headed downstairs just in time to see Avery starting breakfast.
"Please tell me that you're making the eggs fried and greasy bacon? I have a throbbing headache that needs more than just aspirin."
Avery laughed loudly, purposefully to affect Sara's headache. "Well, maybe that's because you drank too much."
Sara feigned a laugh in response before poking her tongue out. "You're hilarious. I'll think about that next time I'm agreeing to take shots for you so Taylor doesn't get you plastered." Avery glanced down at the frying pan in guilt. She had asked Sara to take a few of hers because she didn't want a repeat of the beach incident, and since her clothes had stayed on last night it had worked. "Yeah I still remember that. So just make breakfast and tell me when it's ready." She moved from her perch on the kitchen door frame and heading out to the garage to get the bikes ready for the ride once Taylor woke up.
"Where are you going?"
"I'm going to get the bikes ready. I'll be back soon."
"You mean I have to ride the devil bike again?"
Sara laughed loudly. "For making me take your shots last night, oh hell yes you are. Let's see if you remember how to ride a bike, at least it's only about a years difference instead of ten again."

Taylor came down when Avery was in the middle of making breakfast. Sara had spent the twenty minutes Avery prepared breakfast pumping bike tires, moving them out of the garage and then double checking the tires and breaks. She adjusted the bikes as best as she could, but each girl rode a little differently so she didn't waste much time when they'd come along and do it themselves. Taylor presented herself with a spin to show off that she was dressed and ready to go before everyone else for the first time.
"Are you excited to go on the bike ride?" Taylor asked in hopes that Avery's attitude about the bike ride had changed.
"I just don't want the devil bike. I don't want to go on the bike ride at all."
