"Good morning, Sara. Did you sleep well?" Aaron asked casually, but not really caring about the answer as he heard her footsteps racing down the stairs to get breakfast. He remained in his seat on the island bar stool next to Amy, twisting a lock of her hair around his finger absentmindedly. "Amy wouldn't stop talking about meeting the band last night," he added when Sara walked into the kitchen dressed in jeans with huge holes in the knees, and a light blue t-shirt.

"Oh yeah?" Sara asked, uninterested in the conversation and waiting to move onto the one where she figured out why Aaron was over so early in the morning. "Because I don't remember you being here last night to hear about it, and I don't appreciate you breaking into my house to be with your girlfriend either. Next time take her home." She cast Amy a glare as she leaned into the refrigerator and pulled out a water bottle, uncapping it and taking a drink as she stood next to Avery, who was in her usual T-shirt and jeans, at the counter cooking breakfast. Amy had stayed the night in the day room, but failed to ask permission for Aaron to join her. It'd come as a shock to Avery when she walked in on the couple taking a shower this morning, and then prompted Sara to find a reason to backlash for Amy's attitude the night before.

After discovering one boy in the house, Avery invited Brett over so she wouldn't have to hear him complain about being left out. Of course, once he got there, Brett took his usual spot next to Avery, leaving Sara and Taylor as the outcasts in the group once again. It didn't bother Sara much because she was fine with being single and lumped together with her best friend as a lesbian couple. In her mind, her and Taylor could probably be a better functioning couple than the others in the room considering Amy's trust issues, Aaron's infidelity, and Avery's ignorance that Brett even had feelings for her.

"Yeah, she wouldn't shut up about meeting Logan Conrad!" he shrieked Logan's name in his best imitation girl voice.

"I told her she should just dump your lazy ass and then have a one night stand with the man of her dreams," Sara said with a cruel smile in Amy's direction as Aaron exploded into laughter. She mouthed, "I told you so," as Aaron tried to talk through his hysterical laughter.

"I wouldn't ever dump you, baby," Amy said in a baby voice, causing Avery to groan, Sara to roll her eyes, and Taylor to gag. In a hurried attempt to busy herself with a task before she had to sit and witness the couple kiss, Taylor hopped off of her stool and offered to make breakfast, using the excuse that she wanted to cook before Sara started to get cranky from being hungry.

Sara flipped her the bird without hesitation or even looking in Taylor's direction.

Maybe they wouldn't be the most functioning couple after all, but they would at least be honest with each other. Maybe Brett and Avery would win the couple contest since Avery can't screw up a relationship that she doesn't even know she's in.

"I'll help. Let me make some toast," Sara offered, trying to get away from Amy and Aaron's conversation as well.

"No!" everyone cried in unison.

Sara rolled her eyes. "It's a toaster, calm down. You all complained about my cooking, but how can I get better if you don't let me cook? Practice makes perfect, right? And what a better place to start practicing than with some simple toast? What the hell could really go wrong?"

"How about I try to help inspire you to start your next story, or maybe narrow down your thoughts so while you're traveling you aren't swamped with ideas of different stories. Instead you can focus on a few and work on them while you're exploring," Avery suggested politely as she lead Sara out of the room.

Taylor felt slightly guilty about putting her friend down about her cooking, mostly because she faked food poisoning from her food even though she had made it properly. Then again, she also burnt toast and bagels without a problem and that was the easiest thing to make.
