"Where are we heading to, Saifah?""It's a surprise, Zon. Don't you know what it means?"
"No. I don't know. I don't get a thing of what you're doing."
Saifah chuckled and gave a quick pat in his boyfriend's back to continue to guide him until they reached their destination. He had asked Zon to keep his eyes closed and above all, to open them on no account while they were walking.
"It's cute to see you look lost like that", the young man remarked as he kept his face close to Zon who did not seem very at ease to walk blindly like this, and without knowing when on earth Saifah would finally announce the end of that unusual game.
"You are not nice to tease me, Sai..." he mumbled with his eyebrows frowned, and the other student could not help but laugh louder as, even if he tried not to make it look too obvious, this big boy, who liked writing weird horror and sci-fi stories, seemed to be rather afraid of the dark...
"We are there" Saifah announced happily in his lover's ear, like a long awaited reward. "You can open your eyes now, Nong Zon."
There was no need to say it twice. Zon complied, trying to get his cloudy vision used to the surprising lightning he was being confronted to right now. He blinked several times, until all the abstruse forms he vaguely perceived started to take better shape in front of him. When the scene became perfectly clear under his eyes, however, it still took a few seconds to Zon to realize what was truly going on here.
"Huh?" the young man questioned as he turned to look at his boyfriend in uncertainty, who was holding his arm in a reassuring gesture. "What's all this?"
In front of him had been set a nice table, with silver cutlery and expensive bottle of French wine, lit by a few candles, like in all those romantic movies Zol, his sister, was addicted to. Zon could not believe his eyes.
He could not help either but shifting his gaze from left to right and center, as if he needed to confirm that he was really not in a dream, or worse, in a novel, right now.
"Please, have a sit, Zon."
Tutor appeared from the back of the shop with his uniform on. Zon could easily tell by the way he was blinking at him that he was the one who helped Saifah to organise this little surprise dinner.
Those two had even requisitioned the coffee shop where Tutor was employed on its closing day for their plan. They were apparently very well prepared... Even a bit too well, according to Zon's point of view.
