Jeongyeon's pov

A week had passed since the show and now I couldn't keep it inside me anymore. My feelings for her had grown but I was sure she hadn't noticed it. Why didn't she look at me the way I looked at her? How had I always looked at her? It's understandable, we're best friends, I shouldn't even just think of her that way but on the day of the show I realized how much I really cared about her. Her smile reassuring her, her eyes happy about me for my fourth place, her laugh at every fool I did...

"Jeongyeon, Jihyo is here. No Nayeon today?"  Seungyeon asked, making my friend sit in.

"I have to talk to Jihyo alone. Would you leave us alone?"

My sister muttered something to me and closed my bedroom door.

"Why isn't Nayeon with us today?" asked the red-haired girl.

"Jihyo I have to confess something..." I said hoping not to be too pathetic.

"Is it a love confession? I'm honored but I'm straight" she said laughing.

"Come on! I'm serious for once!"

"So? What's going on?"

"Well... I like..."

I couldn't continue.

"You like..." she helped me.

I took a deep breath.

"Don't think I'm stupid" I told her more aggressively than insecure.

"I won't" she said.

Jihyo's pov

You should know me well by now. When have I ever judged someone?

I already suspect what Jeongyeon has to tell me.

"It's from the show that I can't get it out of my head"

Here, I knew it.  These two only call me to make confessions of love.

"Who?"  I asked.

"Well..."

Flashback

Jeongyeon's pov

I was looking at Sana taking the stage to win the first prize. I knew there had been a draw, so it was a matter of seconds for Nayeon to get on that stage too. If she hadn't won Nayeon I just didn't know who could have.

You can do it, Bunny.

I smiled when the presenter finally mentioned my best friend's name.

She was the one who was most determined of all, we knew that.

"Im Nayeon! Im Nayeon!" Jihyo screamed more excited than the winner.

In fact, she didn't seem entirely happy.

I felt a hint of melancholy in her smile.

I saw the presenter saying something to her that made her smile. He evidently had congratulated her.

Sure, poor Sana. Nobody had thought of her.

The Japanese did not know what to do, so she often looked at us. Tzuyu was secretly cheering for her. They were really cute, despite the great age difference.

"Nayeon is just pretty" I heard Jihyo commenting.

"Right?"  she asked more to me than to the others.

I nodded.

"I'll go to the toilet for a moment. Compliment her from me" I said as I walked towards my destination.

Jihyo's pov

I want you to do it, Nayeon will be happier.

After that, I decided to make her worry a little and asked Mina where she was. Unfortunately when she returned I felt that something was wrong.

Jeongyeon's pov

I was finally able to get into the toilet. Mileage lines there too.

I went out and went to the showcase, where the others were, when I met Nichkhun.

"Yoo Jeongyeon, right? Aren't you with the others?"  he asked me, showing off his best smile.

"I'm going now" I explained hoping to be able to continue my walking.

"Congratulations to your friends. You had a good job too, if I'm not mistaken" he said, smoothing his hair.

"Do you mind me to know if that friend of yours who won the first place is taken?" she asked timidly.

"It's a little young for you" I retorted.

"I'm twenty-six, not forty" he said laughing.

Twenty-six years is still too old.

"I don't care how old you are. You're not her type" I said rather surly.

"Calm down. Why don't you ask her first?"

"Why are you so interested in Sana? Then talk to your girlfriend if you want her"

"Sana? Ah right, it was two on the first. I was talking about... Im Na... Nayeon" he said smiling again.

So he wasn't talking about Sana?

"Nayeon ... she's not taken"

"Too bad ... Why is a girl like her single?"

"She's not that old either... she's nineteen"

"I understand... Can't I even talk to her once?"

"Looking good... You would look like her type" I said leaving him alone.

"Yoo, wait" he called as I turned me around.

"Not to leave me tortured by curiosity... Are you Sana's girlfriend?"

"No, or at least not anymore"

"I noticed that you had a different reaction with the two. Isn't it that you still like her?"

"It's none of your business" I finished my speech with my hard gaze.

Maybe he was right... Maybe I really liked Sana. Again. Or maybe still. After all this time... I thought I had forgotten her, that it was about past. She is with Tzuyu, even if in secret and I am living my life spending hours fighting with Nayeon.
