I pace back and forth in the hallway of the ICU. It's been two days, and I haven't gotten any news. Liam, Mitch, and Alex have been hanging out with me while I basically live here. Sean's mom is just now hearing about this, because Sean managed to mutter out her number to a nurse. He's alive, which is good. I think I'm more nervous about his mom getting here. This isn't the circumstance in which I wanted to meet her.

A lady with brown hair walks to his room and knocks on the door. The nurse opens the door and her and the lady talk for a moment before she lets the lady in. The nurse waves me over, so I walk towards the room. She lets me in, and I gasp as I see him. He's burned everywhere. It's a miracle that he's even survived. They said it's still iffy if he survives or not, but he's alive right now.

"My baby.." The lady says, and I assume it's his mom. We don't get a lot of time in the room until we're told to leave.

I sit in a chair opposite of her in the waiting room. "So, are you his mom?" I ask, trying to make conversation.

She looks up at me with her kind eyes and smiles. "Yes. I'm Stella." She replies. She's obviously panicked, but if I know one thing, I know that mom's are able to hide stuff like that.

"I'm Ainsley." I smile.

"You're the girl he was telling me about." She chuckles, crossing her legs. "He spoke very highly of you, and I can see why. You're very beautiful."

"Thank you." I say, "but I probably look like a mess right now. I haven't left the hospital."

"You can go ahead and go. Just give me your number so I can update you. You need sleep." She says, getting out her phone. I recite my number to her before saying goodbye and leaving.

Liam picks me up from the hospital and drives me to my house. It still smells like smoke, but most of the debris is picked up and the wall that was burned down is patched up. It's not fixed, but it's almost there. The insurance isn't rebuilding the guest room, but I don't know why.

I walk into my house, and Mitch is inside cleaning up. He smiles when he sees me. "Hey, Mitch." I say, walking past him.

"Ainsley, I'm here for you." He says, putting out his arm to stop me from going anywhere. I look at him, and his eyes are sincere. "I know how you feel."

How do I feel? I don't feel too scared about Sean. I should be terrified, but I'm not. But, if I'm in love, I would be scared, wouldn't I?

"Don't think about it." Mitch says, smiling at me. Do I love Mitch? I smile back at him. "I know you love him."

"Actually," Ainsley, what are you doing? "I don't love him." You're ruining everything! "If I did, I wouldn't have left the hospital." I shrug, looking at him. "If I did, I wouldn't do this." I say, then pull him into a kiss. What the fuck are you doing? Ainsley, stop! My thoughts are literally shouting at me, but I can't stop.

Mitch doesn't fight back, and the kiss becomes more and more passionate. I grab his hand and pull him into my bedroom, and I lead him to the bed. He kisses me and I lay back on the bed, and he leans over me and continues kissing me. Ainsley.. His hands traverse my body and they begin to strip me of my clothes.

Why the fuck! You just fucked your fucking friend and you already have a boyfriend!

We both lay back on the bed afterwards, and he looks at me. "So, you don't love him." He chuckles. I smirk.

"Hell no." I reply, getting up. Dude, I'm stupid. So stupid. I grab my clothes and begin dressing myself. "Don't tell anyone about this though." I say with a wink before walking out of the bedroom. I walk into my backyard where Alex is with a stupid smirk.

"Have fun?" He asks, picking up trash.

"What are you talking about?" I ask, looking at him.

"I heard you two. You're not very quiet."

"Shit, just don't tell anyone."

"I'm pretty sure they heard!" He laughs.

"Shut up!" I laugh. "I didn't know you were out here."

"So, you gonna do the same thing with me?" He asks with a wink.

"You had a chance." I shrug.

"When?"

"Before you knew who I was, smart one." I smirk, throwing a piece of trash at him.

"C'mon, that's not fair!" He laughs.

"Plus, I'm not a whore."

"Yeah, that's totally why you just fucked Mitch." He rolls his eyes.

"It-I--Ugh!" I walk away in frustration. Told you. I'm beginning to think I should listen to my conscience.
