"Ah, the joint." Mitch says, taking a big whiff as he walks through the doors. I roll my eyes and nudge him out of the way. "Smells like Graser in here. Kinda stinks." He comments, walking to the booth he has chosen for us. I know Mitch is joking, because Alex is one of the best smelling guys I know. Ainsley, that was totally creepy. I slide in on the opposite side of Mitch, and Liam sits beside me. Alex sits beside Mitch and Sean scoots in beside them.

"Ha, we're not squished." I playfully stick my tongue out at the three others.

"That can change." Sean and Alex say at the same time. They both look at each other, each shocked.

"Aw, You guys are so alike." Liam jokingly coos. I smirk and nod.

"I ship it." I say, putting my hands on the table.

"Drinks?" A lady says as she approaches the booth with a writing pad and pen in her hand.

"Hey Steph." Alex says casually.

"Hey Alex. Water, I'm guessing?" She asks, looking up from the paper and at him with a smirk. She recieves a nod and begins scribbling on the paper.

"Hey, Steph." I look at Mitch and try not to laugh at his attempt to be smooth. He winks at her and smiles. I glance at the waitress and begin to laugh, but I play it off as a cough. She looks utterly disgusted. Liam must have noticed too, because we're having a 'coughing' fit over here.

"Sorry about him." Sean apologizes, clasping his hands together on the table. "We feel bad for him, so we let him hang out with us." He says much quieter, but I manage to hear him. Steph begins to laugh but covers her mouth and clears her throat before composing herself.

"So what," She clears her throat, "What kind of drinks can I get the rest of you?"

Mostly everyone orders water. By mostly, I mean everyone except for me. I get Mountain Dew instead.

"Way to be the odd one out, Flox." Mitch mutters, and Alex chuckles. I give him a glare.

"As if you're one to talk, Mr. Smooth." I retort, and Alex begins cracking up. Sean and Liam are laughing too, but Alex is going wild. Mitch is trying to hide his smile, but I crack a smile and he loses his composure.

"Sup, Steph." I say with a wink as the brunette, green-eyed waitress comes back. I failed at mocking Mitch. It sounded like I was trying to actually hit on her, which was not the idea.

"Sorry, I'm straight. But I have some friends I could--"

I look at her and shake my head. Sean and I say the same thing: "I'm straight." But of course, he says 'she's straight' because we weren't talking about him. He seemed very defensive when he said it, too. I look at him and he looks at me. We both look at each other, not in a 'connecting' way or whatever, we just look.

"Here are your drinks." Steph chimes in, breaking the awkward silence at the table. She hands everyone a water before handing me my Mountain Dew. Alex orders two large pepperoni pizzas (A/N: Do they serve pizzas at the joint?) for all of us to share. She nods and heads back to the kitchen.

"That was weird." Liam shrugs off the incident. You're telling me.

"What was that all about?" Mitch asks, looking at Sean and then turning to look at me.

I put up my hands defensively. "I was saying I'm straight."

"I was backing her up." Sean speaks after a few awkward seconds. I look at him, and he looks at me. Our eyes meet, and it was in that moment I knew why he was defensive.
