Alex turns away from the sight, and Mitch gags. Sean is backed up against the fridge. I grab the roll of paper towels and lay them on top before grabbing the Swiffer mop and mopping up the remainder of the mess.
Once I finish cleaning it, I sit on the couch and hold a pillow to my stomach. I watch 'Arrow' on Netflix, and the guys are at the table talking about MineCon.
"Ains." Sean calls me, and I look over at him. "Are you going to MineCon?" I pause the show and shrug. I don't have a ticket, and I don't want to announce that I'm going for obvious reasons.
"I don't think so." I pick at some threads hanging from the pillow as I answer. "It's too late, isn't it?" I ask, looking up at the guys.
"Well," Alex begins, "before I knew that you were one of my closest friends, I wanted to invite Ainsley--not Floxie--to MineCon, so I bought a ticket. An extra ticket." He sits back in his chair.
"Well, you said you wanted to invite Ainsley. People know I'm Floxie now." I reply, looking back down at the pillow.
"But we still want you to go." Mitch speaks, and the others murmur in agreement.
"So you're asking me to go to MineCon?" I don't take my eyes off of the pillow as I reply.
"Pretty much." Alex replies, and I see him shrug out of the corner of my eye.
I look up at them. I don't want to go, because I don't want to be noticed. If I'm noticed, the word will get out. I mean, it's not like I'm a celebrity, but I'm pretty sure my subs will get out the word that I'm at MineCon. But hey, it could be fun. And I might only be able to get to go once, so why not now.
"Okay, I'll go." I smile, and they all cheer. Mitch runs over to me and hugs me while I'm on the couch.
"I knew you would!!" We both laugh as he squeezes me in a tight hug.
"When is it?" I ask, pushing him off of me playfully.
"Next week." Sean replies, walking over and taking a seat on the couch beside me. Mitch lays on top of our laps, and Liam and Alex talk at the table.
"How long are we staying?"
"Well, I'm staying two weeks." Mitch replies. "In Cali, that is."
"I'm staying for a week." Sean answers. Liam and Alex didn't even hear the question because they were in their own conversation.
"Guess I'll stay for a week, too." I smile, looking at Sean.
"Hey, guys, I'm here too." Mitch says, looking at the both of us. Sean looks into my eyes and smiles before pushing Mitch off of our laps and onto the floor.
"Not anymore." I laugh, looking away from Sean and throwing a pillow at Mitch. Mitch laughs and pushes himself off the ground, then throws the pillow back at me. I get up and throw the pillow back at him before running down the hall and closing my bedroom door. I lock the door and grab all of the pillows I can fit into my arms before unlocking the door and throwing all of them at him. He laughs and throws one at me, but I run around the room, dodging it. Instead, it hits Liam, and Liam laughs and tries to throw it at Mitch, but misses and hits Sean. Eventually it's an all out pillow fight. Pillows are thrown back and forth in the living room. Luckily, I don't own anything breakable except for the TV, but the TV is really old so it's bound to die sometime soon. I trip over pillows and land on top of Sean, who tripped over Mitch while reaching for a pillow. We're all laughing, Alex and Liam throwing pillows at us while we're on the ground. I don't leave the floor until the fire has ceased.
"Oh shit, I don't have a video up!" I push myself off of the ground and run into my office, then sit on the floor and spin around in my chair.
I begin recording Cube, and the guys all crowd around me, watching me play. They even add in their own comments and speak over me at times, but I can just edit it out. Sean is on his laptop and playing Cube, and Alex heads home to get on Cube. Liam and Mitch decide to make my Cube episode 'fantastic.' They do commentary for me, trying to mimic my voice. Once I'm finished recording, Mitch takes my chair and edits the video for me.
I get onto Twitter, where I begin to reply to fans and answer questions. Most of them are asking if I'm going to MineCon, so I just skip over those. As I finish answering, someone calls me. From a private number
"Hello?" I answer.
"Hey." The man on the other end replies.
"Who is this?"
"Don't be stupid, Ainsley."
I drop my phone, my eyes wide, face pale. How?
