A/N: Hi! This is probably a bit more of an intense chapter per se. It's a little emotional but it all follows the plotline so it's nothing you wouldn't expect. Enjoy!

Bella's P.O.V.

I had been laying down on the inside of our new home chomping on a granola bar. Having not really eaten much today and doing all the work I did I might as well treat myself. I realized that Megan had been spending a long ass time doing laundry so I crawled my way out of the entry/exit way and almost bumped into someone's knees. I looked up somewhat startled to see none other than Shane staring down at me with an amused look on his face.

I cleared my throat, "Could you please move if you don't mind?" I mumbled; my face flushed from embarrassment. "Yeah sure." He chuckled, taking a step to the side. I crawled the rest of the way and stood up slowly with a groan, almost falling over in the process. I brushed off the dirt and sticks that stuck to my hands and clothes and cracked my neck. I looked off to where the rest of the camp was and squinted my eyes at the sun. Sitting in there with nothing but a smaller lantern type flashlight as a source of vision.

I turned my attention back to Shane and cocked an eyebrow, "What's up?" I inquired. He let out a light chuckle. His gaze shifted around a bit and his hand went up to the back of his neck. A habit he has I've noticed. He looked back at me squinting lightly. "Your friend Megan was it?", I nodded at him, "Well she just beat the living shit out of Ed. I mean I was not expecting that. She's got some kick in her." He told me, the amusement evident on his face. I could tell there was some underlying frustration though.

"Wait why?" I questioned him. I mean I know we both hate the guy but what did he do for her to beat the shit out of him? That isn't usually her style. "Well, he was bothering them while doing laundry. They got into a fight and he hit Carol. She beat him up before I had the chance." He informed me, looking in my face with a look I can't quite describe. I let out a laugh before catching myself, "Sorry but the jackass deserved it." I told him snickering. He smiled, "You won't catch me disagreeing." he told me. We let out a laugh together. Our laughter died down and it became silent for a moment. He cleared his throat, "So, nice setup ya got here. How long did it take ya?" He asked, hand gesturing to the shelter I built.

"Oh well, it's been a project I've been working on throughout the day. I'd say it took around five or six hours give or take? I'm not sure since I don't really have a source to tell time anymore. It's not much but I'm pretty proud of it." I stated. I crossed my arms around my chest, anxiety kicking in. I really didn't want him to critique it. "You did a good job. Looks nice. Can I see the inside?" He asked me, crouching down. I nodded a yes and we crawled in.

I stood up, only slightly slouching, and walked over to my bedspread. I couldn't help but laugh at the sight before me when I turned around. Shane was hunched over like a hermit shuffling over to Megan's bedspread to take a seat. "Pretty homey. You did a good job. It's pretty discrete as well. Ya thought about makin a door?" He asked me, hinting to the open space for anything to get inside of. I let out a sigh, "Yeah, I did. I'm just worn out. My body isn't quite built for that much physical labor." I explained. I let out a sigh and flopped onto the bedspread.

I hissed in pain slightly and rolled over to be in a more comfortable position. "You alright there? You seem like you've been in pain since you got ere'," he asked me. A look of concern flooded his expression. I sighed slightly, "I'm alright I just have EDS. My joints and connective tissue is all kinds of wacked out so before all of this I was in physical and occupational therapy to help strengthen my muscles to hold my joints in place because my ligaments are too loose to do it themselves." I explained. I could see he was somewhat shocked and confused. "Wouldn't doing that help them though? You're strengthening your muscles." He was clearly trying to piece the puzzle together.
