Jessica and Nicholas exited out the car, Nicholas giving the door a big slam. Jessica jumped a bit, startled by the sudden sound.

"Nicholas! What is wrong?" she asked, not being familiar with this behavior from him.

"Sorry mom, i'm just really bummed out because school, duh. I'm gonna miss all my friends." he said.

"Oh, sweetie. Don't worry, you'll surely be making many friends here." Jessica said with a laugh.

They had arrived to the big building of the school. The name Wilson still made her a little uncomfortable. She didn't want to spend too much time reflecting on her past. She was happy now. That's all that mattered.

Ever since she left Mr. Wilson, raising Nicholas was not particularly easy. She ran away from home after seeing he had been an haves to her mother. Part of the reason she doesn't visit her mother anymore is because of him. She also had to get a job after Nicholas was born to sustain the both of them. Luckily for her, she was successful and that led her to where she is today.

Would getting a partner be confusing for Nicholas? Of course it would. After not having a father for eight years, it would be so overwhelming to just have someone-
