Jessica's Mom POV
I woke up early the next morning and Jessica wasn't in her bed. I went downstairs and saw her about to leave the house.

"Where are you going, young lady?" I asked sternly.

"Uh, I- I am going to Stephanie's house, yeah!" she said.

"Who's Stephanie?" I asked.

"O-Oh, didn't I tell you? S-she's my best friend!" she said, stuttering a little more than normal.

"Okay, have fun and be safe." I said. Yup, something is definitely up. She's not going to Stephanie's house. Stephanie doesn't exist. Jessica stutters when she's nervous. That's when it hit me. Jessica's last report card was not good, and Jessica would do dumb things for a good grade. That could only mean one thing.

I called my friend, Sandy, and asked her if she could do something. I asked her if she could get me photos of where Jessica was heading to everyday. I waited for three days to Sandy to get solid proof, and everyday went the same. Jessica was always acting weird, but these few days, I didn't question her. Then, Sandy finally got back to me. She showed me pictures of Jessica driving to a house. I knew which house that was. I had been there for parent conference meetings, and that was her chemistry teacher. Then, the next few photos I saw surprised me and angered me. Oh boy, so this was what Jessica was hiding? No wonder she had a good report card this year! This girl was gonna get it.
