A few days later, I was checking my emails for work. It was just the usual, but one caught my eye.
PARENT-TEACHER CONFERENCE
Oh, just my luck. I had been trying to avoid any of Nicholas' teachers since what happened last week but it looks like I don't have a choice this time. The time read from 4:30 to 5. Right now, it was 4:00pm. I needed to get ready quick, so I put on some light makeup and wore a casual business outfit that included a jacket and a skirt. It wasn't too fancy, but it did compliment my features. Feeling satisfied, I called Nicholas and got him into the car. We began driving on the path to the school. Just talk to the teachers and ignore the principal.
