Jessica had been failing every single one of her classes. The only class she wasn't failing was lunch. It was a few days until the end of the quarter and her mother would be getting her report card. "My mom's gonna kill me! I'll get kicked out! She'll disown me-"

She was brought back to reality when Mr. Wilson, the chemistry teacher, told them about the quiz they were having today. Jessica suddenly started panicking.
"I forgot there was a quiz! I didn't study! This is going to be the quiz that could bump my grade up. What can I do?"
That's when Jessica has an idea. She walked up to Mr. Wilson's class and slipped him a note.
"I have to go to the nurse's office and I can't do the quiz. Can I meet you after school to make it up?"
Jessica couldn't believe what she'd just done. Was he going to yell at her? Was he going to give her detention? Mr. Wilson interrupted her thoughts with a smirk and said, "Very well then, we shall see each other later."

Jessica returned the smile and walked out of the classroom, with only one thought in her head.
"What have I gotten myself into?"

Ok guys, first chapter! I just want to say I am disappointed for being so passionate about an internet meme. Oh, the effects of quarantine. Did I mention I have given up in hope of regaining sanity?
