Just my luck.
Sitting in my class, that was all that came to my mind.
It was due to my shitty luck that I had only one class with Em in the whole day
It was due to my shitty luck that ALL my classes were with the last person I wanted to see, a.k.a, Simon Styx.
HOW THE FRICKING HELL WERE ALL OUR CLASSES SIMILAR!??!
I took a deep breath.
Calm down, James.
I told myself. It wasn't like I hated him. It was just that you can't listen to a lecture while someone continuously glares at you.
To say the truth, it was getting irritating.
I nearly jumped in happiness when the bell rang, motioning the end of war tactics class. I quickly packed and walked out of the class to the fencing arena.
I waited for a few minutes as rest of the class filed it. I groaned when I saw the demon omega also come in. Why was God punishing me like this?
We sat down on the seats as our teacher entered. He was a tall man with huge muscles. He might look intimidating if he wasn't literally jumping cheerfully.
He said in a cheery ,deep voice( I don't know how his voice was like that. But believe me, it was cheery and scary at the same time.)
" Good Morning Class!!! So this is your first fencing class in Epiraz University. So let's start this exciting year with a .......FENCING MATCH!"
I groaned.
SIMON'S POV:
I watched as the whole class groaned at the teacher's announcement. But, I quite liked the idea of a fencing match. I was trained to become a warrior since my childhood, and I loved sword fighting and fencing.
The teacher divided us into 2 groups. It was a pity that the arrogant alpha wasn't in my group. I was quite looking forward to defeating him.
The cheery yet scary teacher said,
" So the rules are quite simple. It is open battle fencing. One half of the field is for the first group, while the rest for the second group. The final remaining person from each group will fight each other. The one who wins is the winner. Now, go on pick your weapon."
I brought out my own sword. It was a rule of crown princes that we cannot wield a sword that have not chosen us. I turned my sword around my hand. I loved my sword a lot.
( The above is Simon's sword, Alaric)
I turned and looked at the arrogant alpha prince, not surprised to see him taking out his own sword. But something I had to say, his sword was beautiful. But I was going to prove to him that in war, beauty never matters.
(The above is Seceria, James' sword)
I joined the people in the field.
I heard the coach say,
" Let the battle begin!!"
Honestly the lack of technique of the people in my group surprised me. It only took me a few minutes to make each one drop their swords. Wow. If a battle was to come, they plan on fighting in this lousy way?
I turned around to see the fight in the other group still going on. Well, not everyone one was fighting. All of them except the alpha and his beta girlfriend were sulking in the stands. They were still fighting, while grinning like mad at each other. Weird people, who smiles while fighting?
JAMES POV:
I turned and faced the only person left in the group, Em.
I attacked her and she hit back. She grinned at me and said,
" Scared butthead?"
I smirked and said,
" In your dreams ,witch"
I quickly trust the back of my sword to her palm which made her drop her sword. She raised her hands in surrender and chuckled. She said,
" Looks like I lost princey!"
She looked behind me and gave me a wicked grin and walked away.
I turned towards the direction in which she was looking and groaned as I saw him. He had a arrogant and annoying look on his face.
I picked up my sword and went near him. We both bowed without taking our eyes off each other.
Then we started fighting.
