Chapter 7

Even though the omega prince said that I wasn't completely useless, that doesn't mean his attitude towards me changed even one percent. To say the truth, I was now quite used to all that glaring.

I could not believe it has been nearly 3 weeks since I came here. Em and I did not have a lot of free time to hang out because of all the assignments and projects. The teachers were pretty interesting here.

We got grades in our first assignment, I was happy that I scored first division. The demon omega did too, but he was unhappy I got one mark more than him and kept glaring at me the whole day.

On the second week here, brother sent me a letter.

Dear James,

I hope you are having a good time at the University. Drake and I are fine. It is so lonely here without you.(how the hell did he become lonely in a palace containing hundreds of people!?).I miss you a lot. So does Roman and Greece. Guess what? We found out the gender today!!! It's two boys and a girl!! The doctor said the girl and one of the boys are alpha, while the remaining baby is omega. We are so excited!!!
Roman misses you a lot. He cried for 2 days and refused to eat anything. I hoped you would write, but you didn't.( I suddenly felt guilty) Roman stopped his tantrums only when  I made him some chocolate cake.( I checked the parcel if he sent me some) And no, I didn't send you any because you forgot to write.
Dad says that the tension between the countries are extremely high. A war might break out within 2 years. I wish it won't, the last war had so many casualties. But fate cannot be ignored.

I wrote back immediately, which resulted in my brother caving in and sending me some chocolate cake.

I hardly get time to hang out with Em with all the assignments we get. So we decided to have a movie night this weekend ( yes, crown princes do movie nights.)

She also promised to help me unpack,which ended her ogling at the TV and me arranging all my stuff.

I checked the watch. It was 6:30, Em was coming at 6:40. I sat down on the living room table and started working on my assignments.

After 20 minutes, I heard the sound of front door opening. Emily came and sat on the couch and put her bag near the table. She looked at me and scowled when she noticed I was working. She took the pen from my hand and threw it away.

"Stop working."

She grumbled.

I sighed and went to the kitchen and brought out a bag of popcorn. I handed her it and said,

" Make popcorn. I'll arrange the tables and things"

I pushed her towards the kitchen as I cleared the tables.

A smell of delicious chocolate popcorn filled the air. I arranged the couch while she brought two bowls of warm, melt in mouth chocolate popcorn.

She plopped down beside me and pulled the quilt over her and started having the popcorn. I asked,

" Which movie?"

" Hm....I am in mood for some old ones. Like the ones we watched as a child....."

I started the movie and sat down beside her. She snuggled to my side.

We watched movies for a long time. I soon lost the track of time. After what seemed 20 hours, Emily checked the watch and said,

" It's 9!!"

I looked at the watch and said,

" So?"

She got up and said,

" The cafeteria closes at 10. Duh! That's why?"

I raised my eyebrows and said,

" What does cafeteria have to do with this?"

She scrunched up her face and looked at me in annoyance. She said,

" I want a double chocolate butterscotch smoothie with ice cream and hazelnuts that's why!!"

I said,

" You are gonna become fat,witchie."

She smacked my head and said,

" You can say that again butthead!"

I massaged my aching forehead and said,

" Okay okay. I'll go with you."

She smirked and said,

" What happened to ' becoming fat'?"

I glared at her as she burst into laughter. She knew I had a serious chocolate addiction, even though I hated other sweet foods.

We cleaned up the room and then closed my door and went to the cafeteria. She ordered two chocolate whateverthatwas. I drank a little.

I...I...NEVER TASTED ANYTHING SO WONDERFULLY CHOCOLATEY---

Ahem.

*Regaining my composure.*

Em and I walked down to my room as we talked. I didn't know why, I was feeling distinctly uneasy. Like something bad was gonna happen.

As we reached the fountain near the middle wing, suddenly I smelt something odd. I sniffed a little. Wait. No way . It was a faint scent....of a Omega's phermones.

I caught Em's hand and stopped her. She looked at me and raised her eyebrows.

" Can't you smell it?"

I asked.

Emily looked at me confused and said,

" Smell what?"

I pulled her towards the source of the smell. With each step the smell got stronger. When I reached the gateway of the public East Wing , I froze.

It was definitely a Omega's phermones. By the strength I understood that the omega was in heat.

But what shocked me was that it was no ordinary omega's pheromones.

It was demon Omega's phermones.

It was The Demon Crown Prince, Simon Styx's pheromones.
