The scent was a lot stronger here, and he was no where in sight. Which meant.....shit....
He was in heat.
Suddenly Emily froze her eyes wide. Her crimson pink coloured eyes clouded over with something I had never seen on my best friend's face.
Lust.
A beta losing control due to his pheromones. Yep yep yep. My life was so good.
I shook her slightly and tried to break her from the lustful control of the phermones. She started clawing my fingers away from her arm and tried to run towards the scent.
Panic filled me when I realized that there was a omega in danger. It already might be too late. Even though I didn't like him, he did not deserve to be raped. No one deserved that fate.
I had to do something.
I pushed Emily and hit the back of her neck with the flat of my palm. She felt on the floor, unconscious.
I took out my penknife. I wasn't taking any chances. I turned it so that the point faced me and stabbed my forearm. I hissed at the stinging pain that seared through my arms.
It's always been like this. I have always countered my lack of control with pain. It helped me to not lose control. I took a deep breath and ran towards the source of smell.
All the Halls of the lower part of the East Wing was empty. A lot of noise was coming from the lower south of the East Wing. I gritted my teeth. I hope I not too late....
I shook my head and pushed aside my thoughts. I wasn't too late.
It became harder to clear my head as I approached the spot where the smell was the strongest. The hallway was filled with people.
Then I realized, most of the people were alphas and betas and their eyes were hazy with lust.
I pushed past the people ignoring the screams and shouts. The smell and screams were becoming more and more intense.....
My vision was slowly getting cloudy. The pheromones were too powerful. Too powerful.....
I fell on my knees panting. Everything started getting blurry. The scent was too strong...too strong...
I had to save him.
I took gulpfuls of air and tried to control myself. I turned the penknife that was still embedded on my arm. Pain shot up my arm. My vision cleared a little.
Simon.
I had to save him.
I had to save him.
Thinking that like a mantra, I pushed past the people ignoring the annoyed shouts.
I could hear Simon's screams coming from the end of the hallway, between the tight knot of people.
I pushed all of them, knocking unconscious the irritating ones.
Simon's screams got louder. I pushed boy trying to tear apart his clothes.
Then I saw him.
He lay there, sobbing and vulnerable. His skin was filled with scratches. He had bruises all over his body. His clothes was in tatters. He lay there in the pitiful state, his skin red and irritated due to the heat.
I took off my coat and put it over his shoulders and picked him up. His body was build like a omega, slender and graceful, but it wasn't frail like a ordinary omega. His little petite body was nearly buzzing with power. If not for his heat, he could have easily beaten them.
I turned toward the hallway. To a demon omega, their pride was their everything. Their were such proud creatures that they would rather die than lose their pride.
I closed my eyes and concentrated . I felt a tingling sensation all over my body and a buzzing feeling near my fingertips. I opened my eyes and cast the magic. They would never remember this incident.
I sighed a little and carried the demon prince to my room.
