"So? Did you like the pie?" He rested his elbows on the table after finishing his own plate, staring at his friend.
She huffed, rubbing her own belly. "Is my stuffed stomach enough to answer your question? I'm feeling heavy, holy shit."
James giggled. "Well, arrange some space inside you 'cause I'm not leaving this place until I have at least one sip of the chocolate milkshake."
"How can you eat like that? Like, don't you feel any pain inside? Or an untamable urge to run to the nearest bathroom?"
"If you need to take a shit, you already know where the bathroom is." He shrugged.
She grimaced, resting her feet on the seat while supporting her arm on top of her knee. "God damn, you're gross. Where's the milkshake?"
He raised his hand, calling the waitress over, smirking a bit when she winked at him. Lexie just stared with a deadpan face, trying to understand what was going on while he ordered the milkshakes. When the waitress left ㅡ swaying her hips to grab James' attention ㅡ finally, he sighed.
"The fuck was that." Lexie questioned, fidgeting with the tip of her own fingers.
"What do you mean?"
"The waitress. She winked at you. Why did she? I mean... Do you guys know each other?" She sounded genuinely curious rather than angry or something like that, which made James frown in confusion.
"Are you serious?" He watched as she nodded, apparently unsure of what to say or do. "Well, I don'tㅡ I don't know her, no. She was just... Um... She was flirting with me. That's all."
"Oh! Right! I forgot that people think sex is the most important thing in their lives. Sorry." She giggled, still fidgeting with her fingers.
He giggled too. "To be fair, sex is a very pleasant thing, actually."
"I wouldn't know." She confessed in a low voice, almost if she was ashamed of saying that. James frowned.
"Are you a virgin?" She nodded. "That's fine too. I mean, nobody is obliged to do something they don't want to. If ya want to keep it like that, it's not a problem. Right?"
