~ end of the practice match ~

the sound of a slap could be heard as (y/n) served a ball that the boys, yet again could not receive

the girls team libero was happy "wow (y/nn) your third no-touch service ace in a row!! i'm proud of you homie"

i'm tired of serving, i wanna play, ill go lighter on his serve on purpose so that the boys can receive it

3....2.....1.... go

i jumped as i threw the ball into the air, then i hit it at around 50% power, so that the boys could easily receive it

"i've got it" komori didn't even have to move, it was as if the ball was handed directly to him

after i saw komori receive the ball he tossed it to atsumu who knew exactly to set it to

" omi quick!" he said as the ball hit his finger

sakusa was already in the air which allowed them to do a quick attack

boom

it had landed on our side of the court, atsumu set the ball so quick it didn't give our blockers a chance to block

wow, they can play after all, this will be fun

since they scored the point we rotated and it was their turn to serve

but because my team used a different rotation to the one from the first and second set i was no longer opposite sakusa, but

as i walked up to the net i could feel his eyes stalking me the entire time, trying to find out everything about me, how to defeat me

not gonna happen today buddy

now i was in front of the net having a stare-of with the person opposite me

but i didn't need to try hard because his eyes had so much depth and beauty that i ALMOST got lost in them

i put my hand under the net "hey suna" then he escaped the tranced he was in and tilted his head, "lets have a good game yeah?" i then moved my hand a bit hoping that he would grab and shake it

luckily for me he did

"yeah sure, lets have a good game" he muttered almost as if he didn't want to talk to me

huh weird, it sounds like he's mad at me or something, oh well we don't even talk so if he has a problem with me homeboy better tell me because i ain't dealing with this shit today

we just stood there staring at each other none of us looking away

BEEP

hmm atsumu is serving let's see if my brother really is as good as they say

then he took 4 steps and jumped, hitting the ball in the  process

-- time skip //  10 mins  // no-ones pov --

now as everyone was getting tired you had just started getting in to it

"hey over here!!" you called out to your setter hoping she would pass you the ball

and she did, quickly, you jumped close to the net and as soon as the ball touched your hand you were ready to hit it

but as you were about to spike the middle blocker opposite you was in the air, even though he was tired there was no way he was backing down from the competition that you two had going on, he was determined to win

because of the middle blocker in front of you, you decided to use a combination that hadn't been used in this match, quickly i shout for miyoko, she notices what you're doing and immediately run up and jumps

you changed your form from a spiking position to a setting position, you set the ball in the air to miyoko and she is able to spike it down

the crowd went silent

as both you and suna landed you could clearly hear suna say

" what the actual fuck, you have go to be shitting me"

you just giggled under your breath making sure he couldn't hear you and then turned around to face your team and smiled widely " c'mon guys we only have to get 2 more points and then we win this match"  you turned around slowly to face the net and carried on "so, let's play to the best of our abilities because i know some of you still haven't shown your talents"

after a few minutes you guys were now at set point

the boys served the ball, and it was received by sakura then passed onto himari who didn't want to set yet so she passed it to yoshiko, misaki winked at you and then you ran past each other and suddenly stopped to change directions, you did this to confuse the blockers, whilst you were doing all of this himari had now received the ball again and she had set it to you

with one big push of the ground you were in the air and you were also just a few milliseconds faster than your blockers but that was enough time to get past them,

the crowd was waiting in anticipation literally everyone was on the edge of their seats, not for long though

the ball connected with your hand and you could see past the blockers, not giving the blockers the slightest chance, with all of your power you slammed the ball down onto the boys side of the court

that's it, you had just gotten the winning point

your team ran up to and engulfed you in the group hug and all the boys who were sat in the crowd were just cheering happily, they were amazed at how well you all played

now, the boys team on the other hand were on the floor literally dying

that was the hardest match they had all played in ages

the the (h/c) haired girl turned to them and smiled brightly " thank you for playing, that was a really fun match, you all played really well!!"

after the boys had caught their breath they stretched and the girls did the same

some of the guys from the crowd had come down to the court to help take the nets down and clean up the gym because it was getting late and everyone was tired from the practice matches earlier on

also sorry for  taking so long to update, i've had a huge writers block because i ahd no idea what to write i this match, but finally it's over lmao so the story can FINALLY move on
