~ oh holy jesus ~

-- y/n pov // morning of finals --

my alarm went off at 7am

too early for me

i realllly wanted to get back to sleep but if i even slept for 5 more minutes i wouldn't be able to wake up again for the next few hours

i looked over at miyokos bed and noticed that it was empty, she must've gotten up already

but as i looked around the room i noticed she was nowhere to be seen

she's probably just in another room helping to wake everyone up

it still felt surreal to me

the fact that we had made it to finals

and our final match started in around 8 hours was all too crazy for me to handle

but somehow i've been dealing with it as it comes

i stayed laying down in bed as we didnt need to be downstairs in the lobby until 8:30 anyways so i still had time until i needed to start getting ready

i heard the door unlock and as i turned to the door i saw miyoko walk in with her phone in one hand and a box in the the other

and as soon as i came into view the camera pointed at me

miyoko ran to my bed and sat down infront of me, she opened up the box "surpiseeeee"

there was atleast 30 chocolate covered strawberries in that box

once she had unboxed them she stopped videoing and set her phone down to the side

i just starred at the box, she knew that chocolate covered starwberries were on my top 10 list of favourite things "awwww miyoko"

she just laughed at my reaction and started to eat the strawberries "yesterday on the way back from the stadium i saw a desserts shop and i woke up early today without meaning to so i decided to take a walk and turns out that the same place was already open so i popped in and when i saw those they reminded me of you, so here i am now!!"

we just sat down eating the strawberries until they were all gone and the we got up and got dressed into out team tracksuits and then we grabbed our bags and packed our kits as well as our shoes, water bottles, snacks, and anything else that was needed

and once both me and miyoko had finished getting ready and packing we made our way downstairs and waited for everyone else

we were up this early becasue we were going to have a quick 2 hour practice which ended just before lunch time so that we had time to rest up and eat before our match at 3

--timeskip // 2pm --

we had finished having lunch and we were now in the final stages of our team meeting

and we were done 10 minutes later so we made our way into the locker rooms where the mens team where waiting for us

we had our usual exchanges and speeches from both captains and then we got changed into our kits and put our volleyball shoes on, luckily our team managers had already taken water bottles and sweat towels out

we all made our way out in single file and as soon as we had left the protection of the corridor and people spotted us the stadium had errupted in cheers

everyone was hyped

we had 20 minutes before warm up so this was the time where interviewers were allowed onto the courtside to interview us
