The prince's foot jogged against the floor. This wasn't happening. This wasn't real.

        "Kacchan!"

"Oh, hey, you're back. Any luck?"

"Yeah, about that, I really need to talk to you."

"Finally, something has gone right this week. You know, Keiko was here while you were gone--"

"We missed Keiko?! Uh--sorry, for interrupting Your Highness, but this really is something important."

        "Can't it wait a moment?"

"No! It's... it's about what we found. Who we found."

        "Oh? So it's human?"

        "Yes, but--Your Highness, please wait!"

Katsuki ran a hand down his face, his eyes quickly returning to the unconscious form sprawled on his bed. Why didn't I listen? I would have been more prepared.

        "Oi!"

"Wait, Kacchan there's something I need to tell you!"

"What the fuck is going on over here? Can you extras not just do your jobs quietly? Like holy fuck, is there some sort of wild animal off his nut back here?"

         "Kacchan, please wait--"

He hadn't been prepared. Not at all. The... the thing was more than six feet tall and built like a wall of pure muscle, with a wild mane of scarlet hair and a tattered shirt that did next to nothing to conceal his strength. And he was muzzled and bound and thrillingly furious about it. He thrashed and bucked against the restraints, trying his damnedest to break free. One of his feet struck Shoto in the stomach and sent the younger prince flying, a sight that Katsuki never thought he would have seen.

He didn't know what the hell he'd been thinking. He simply acted, sauntering forward and grabbing a tight hold of the leather strap around the man's head and yanking at it. He was used to shoving people around, getting what he wanted, it just came so naturally to him.

"The fuck is your problem? Calm the fuck down or I'll kill you my--"

        "Kat."

Nobody called him that. There was an actual law against it. Nobody, not one single living soul was allowed to call him that.

But this man gazed into his soul with a crimson stare that echoed Katsuki's thoughts, and it was preposterous how ridiculously happy he looked. There was no way such a stranger would have known that name. And yet he did.

        "Your Highness!"

"Kacchan, I was trying to tell you."

"Oi, where do you want this guy--oh, crap, he's out like a light. You really have a touch with psychos, Your Highness."

        "Denki, this isn't the time."

        "Oh? Sorry, Izuku."

"I'll have the beast moved to the dun--"

        "No."

        "--I beg your pardon, sire?"

"Have him... have him moved to my quarters, Iida."
