-The Infirmary-
"Idiot," Katsuki hissed, watching Eijiro battle with Shuzenji over his care. "What exactly were you thinking?"
Neito chuckled, leaning against the wall by the door. "If there's anything we've learned about your dear Eijiro, it's that the stubborn ass often has a one track mind."
"He acted so nonchalant about it I thought he was fine," Katsuki growled. "I didn't realize how much blood he'd lost."
Neito rolled his eyes. He'd been the one to cast the bind spell that kept Eijiro from losing anything else and ultimately got him back to consciousness in time for the nurses to start yelling at the red-haired asshole. "This isn't your fault, Highness. What we do; it isn't your world. He knows better—or he should, but there's truly no telling with him. With his ridiculously high pain tolerance, I doubt he noticed either."
"Ouch! Psycho woman, stop pinching me!"
"Foolish boy, there's so much mud in your wounds. Either let me clean them or loose your leg to infection. It's quite simple."
Katsuki groaned. His cheek throbbed. "He's a child," he grumbled. "A very attractive, slightly murderous child."
Neito shrugged, pushing off the doorway to approach the healer tending to Eijiro. "Chiyo, dear, could I borrow something for a bit?"
"Hm? Oh, yes, hun," she replied, a bit distracted. "Thank you for asking so nicely. See what happens when we ask nicely?"
"I'm going to bite you."
"Come and try it, punk. Now, hold still—"
"Ow!"
"High pain tolerance my ass," Katsuki grimaced. "He whines like a babe."
Neito snorted, moving back towards the prince. "As does Tetsu, and I'm sure Itsuka would tell you I as well. Speaking of which, forgive my abruptness, Your Highness," he snatched up one of Katsuki's hands, planting a kiss suddenly on his knuckles, "but I must bid you adieu. Au revoir!"
"Your french is getting better," Katsuki complimented lightly, well aware of Eijiro glaring at the back of Neito's head. Overprotective ass. "You didn't screw up your exit this time."
The blonde waved as he vanished around the corner, and Katsuki felt the magic from his spell kick in. A familiar warm tingly feeling spread up his arm from his hand and soothed the aching bruises on his skin. The swelling receded, as did most of the pain, and when he turned back to Eijiro he saw that most of the redhead's hostility had faded, replaced by a delicate smile. He must have looked as better as he felt, if Eijiro had forgiven Neito's gesture so easily.
"You are in trouble," Katsuki hissed to remind him, folding his arms again, and the smile disappeared.
"I'm sorry," Eijiro whined pathetically. "I truly thought the bleeding had stopped."
"I'm beginning to think I need to have a healer with you at all times," the prince growled. "Just to keep you from dramatically collapsing like today."
"Take Neito," Chiyo cackled, taking a cruel sort of amusement from this, as usual. "He does a well enough job. My girls are always busy with the rest of your metal-brained fools. Swords and violence, everyday. Bah. These children don't know the meaning of a good fight. Why, when I was younger—"
