Draco and I met up the same day to discuss what had happened and what our next move would be. We both had huge bags under our eyes from the lack of sleep we'd been having.
"Draco I can't keep doing this, I can't keep hurting more people," I told him.
"I know, I know I'm sorry." He apologized.
I walked forward and placed my hand on his cheek "Don't apologize, please. We just have to do it upfront Draco, we have to face him it's the only way." I told him.
He nodded looking down at his feet. " I know, we've always known haven't we." He scoffed.
I nodded this time. "We'll do it tomorrow, no exceptions. Now that the vanishing cabinet is ready it's time." I sighed and walked back to sit on the couch Draco and I'd shared nights before.
Draco sighed and walked back to sit next to me on the couch. We sat in silence for a couple of minutes before Draco took my hand and turned to face me.
"I love you." He whispered.
I gave a small smile. "I love you too," I replied with tears in my eyes.

It was an incredibly gloomy day. I made my way to lunch and to my displeasure the great hall was packed with people. This only meant I had to hide my misery even better, I put on a fake smile and made my way over to the Gryffindor table and sat next to Neville who was already eating dessert.
Although I sat down I didn't eat much at all since I hadn't much of an appetite, I hadn't for the whole year.
"y/n please talk to me," Neville said from beside me. I turned to face him and could see great amounts of concern in his eyes.
"Neville I'm fine." I increased my fake smile.
"Stop lying to me y/n! I'm your best friend!" Neville argued loudly making me drop my smile instantly. "I haven't seen you eat at all, you look like you haven't slept in years and you're always disappearing. What happened to the y/n I knew?" Neville almost cried.
My eyes began to water. "I'm sorry Nev, but she's gone." I simply whispered before getting up. I was about to walk out of the hall when I saw Katie Bell walk in. I gasped. I saw Draco there too. We exchanged a quick glance before we both rushed out.
We both made our way to myrtles bathroom wearing the same distressed looks. I tried to hold back tears as I saw Draco bend over one of the sinks and almost have a panic attack, taking off his sweater and throwing water over his face.
"Draco breathe." I tried telling him as he desperately tried to get some air in his lungs. I drew circles on his back with my palm. "It's ok," I whispered. Draco broke down crying, I cried watching him, it hurt me to see him like this.
"What's going on here?" I heard a voice from the entrance. I turned and saw Harry.
"Harry please just go," I begged him but he ignored me.
"I know what you did Malfoy! You hexed her didn't you?" Harry began accusing Draco.
"Harry please stop." I began walking towards Harry but then saw a flash from the corner of my eye and saw Harry just barely duck out of the way.
Harry quickly threw a spell back at Draco. "STOP!" I screamed, as one of the sink's shattered and water began splashing everywhere.
Harry and Draco ignored me and continued throwing spells at each other. "STOP PLEASE STOP!" I screamed again and again as I heard them running around and things shattering all around me.
I had enough of this, I got up and took my wand out. I saw Draco step out of one of the stalls right beside me I ran forward.
"Sectumsempra!" I heard Harry yell before I felt a sharp pain on my arm and saw Draco fly backward and onto the ground.
"DRACO!" I yelled as I ran forward and knelt down next to him ignoring the increasing pain on my arm. All I could focus on were the gashes spreading all across Draco's body. "WHAT HAVE YOU DONE!" I yelled at Harry as I saw him walking towards us.
I started crying as I moved my hands all across Draco's body trying to stop the bleeding. "Draco please stay with me. Draco please." I sobbed. " HELP! HELP!" I yelled louder than I ever had. Draco had a terrified expression on his face as he cried on the ground too. "Draco I love you please just stay with me." I continually sobbed.
Just as the water around us began tinting itself red Snape walked in taking a look at what had happened. Out of the corner of my eye, I saw Harry run away.
Snape knelt down next to me and hovered his wand over Draco. "Vulnera Sanentur," he repeated several times moving his wand all over Draco's body. I began calming down once I saw the blood in the water drawing back into Draco's body and his gashes disappearing.
At that moment I started becoming more aware of my injuries. "Ow." was all I said before I fell back by back hitting the sinks. I saw Snape turn around to examine me. I lifted my sleeve and could see gashes spreading all across my arm and starting to spread over to my chest and shoulders.
I looked at Snape and it was the first time I saw concern for me in his eyes. He quickly shifted over to me and repeated the same process with his wand over my arm.
"We have to get you both to the hospital wing." He instructed.
"But- We were going to do it tomorrow," I whispered breathlessly. He looked straight into my eyes and I detected a little bit of panic.
He nodded. "You still can." He finished before helping me up. We both helped Draco up and helped him to the hospital wing.
_____
That night neither Draco nor I could sleep. We were on hospital beds next to each other and all we did for most of the night was stare at each other. We both wore a look of pity in our eyes.
Once it was morning I decided it would be best if I just acted like I was asleep for the whole day to avoid any questions from any visitors. I heard when Neville and Hermione had come to visit me and it was incredibly hard to stay completely still when I heard them share their concerns for me as all I wanted to do was get up and embrace them in a huge hug.
I dreaded the moment it would get dark, waiting for the moment Draco and I had to get up and do what we had both been avoiding the whole year.
