In another life (Draco x reader)

A couple of years later (82)

I was in the kitchen making breakfast. Draco came up from behind me and wrapped his arms around me kissing me on the cheek. "Have I ever told you how much I love you?" He whispered in my ear.

"Only every minute of every day." I laughed turning around and wrapping my arms around him. I gave him a quick kiss. 

"I guess that's why I married you, Mrs. Malfoy." He laughed. 

"I would certainly hope so." I kissed him. "Call the kids will you?" I told him before giving him another quick kiss. 

He walked to the hall and shouted for them from the stairs. I heard running. 

"Dora! Teddy! No running down the stairs!" I screamed from the kitchen. 

"Mommy! Teddy and I were looking through your Hogwarts photos again. I want to play Quidditch just like you and Auntie Ginny." Dora came in giggling with Teddy. 

"Well, what about me my dear? I used to play Quidditch as well." Draco told Dora giving her a kiss on the top of the head and then proceeding to give Teddy one too. 

"Uncle Theo told me you were terrible daddy," Dora announced starting to eat her breakfast. 

I giggled and Draco looked unimpressed. "Well, he's not wrong." I joked. Draco pulled me in by my waist and gave me an aggressive kiss. 

"Ewwwww" Teddy and Dora chanted in unison. 

Draco and I laughed. 

"I don't think we'll hang out with Uncle Theo anymore," Draco told Dora making her laugh as well.

"Once you're done you both need to shower and change, we're leaving for the Burrow for lunch in 2 hours," I told them both while I cleaned up the kitchen a little bit. "Oh and Teddy I want you to pack some things from your room, you're going to stay with Harry for the weekend after lunch," I told Teddy. 

"I left my favorite shoes and grandmas," Teddy told me upset. 

"I know that Honey, she'll be at the burrow as well and I've asked her to bring them," I told Teddy and got a smile from him.

Draco and I grabbed a few last bits and pieces before heading to the living room. 

"Teddy, Dora we're leaving c, mon!" Draco screamed for them. 

They both came running down the stairs again. I noticed a splash on Doras's shirt. Draco was doing Teddy's hair. 

"Honey, what happened there?" I asked Dora pointing at her shirt. 

I saw she got slightly shy. "I wanted to wear some perfume...I grabbed some from a bottle you had on your counter but it spilled. I'm sorry mom." Dora confessed looking down at her feet. 

I couldn't help but smile. I kneeled down to Dora's eye level. "That bottle was a gift you know. It refills every time you use some, but that's not what makes it special. The person that gave it to me makes it special." I told Dora. 

"Was it dad?" Dora asked me. 

"No, it wasn't. It was your uncle Cedric." I felt a knot in my throat. 

"I don't think I know him mom..." Dora told me. 

"No sweetheart he died years ago when mommy was was still at Hogwarts. He was my best friend." I told her. 

"Then he's with Teddy's parents, Uncle Remus and Auntie Tonks. I wish I could've met them." Dora sighed.

"Me too Honey," I told her getting up and patting a couple of tears from under my eyes. 

I got up and turned and saw Draco and Teddy staring at us both. Teddy looked clueless while Draco gave me a pitiful look. 

"You ready to go?" Draco asked me extending his hand to me. 

I nodded and walked up to him taking his hand while I held Dora with the other. We all climbed into the chimney. We traveled by flu powder to the burrow. 

Once we got there I patted down Teddy and Dora before telling them to go say hi to everyone. They ran outside and I saw them try to tackle Fred and George. I playfully rolled my eyes at the scene. 

Molly and Arthur came to greet us and then Ginny and Harry walked in. "Why is Teddy's hair slicked back?" He asked me. 

"My husband styled his hair today." I laughed with Harry. I greeted them both before they greeted Draco. 

"I have to say Malfoy, I never thought we'd end up becoming family," Harry told him. 

"Oh believe me Potter that wasn't in my plans either," Draco replied. 

Ginny and I rolled our eyes at them both before walking out where everyone else was. 

Draco and I spent a while greeting all the Weasleys before finally finding our seat on the long table that was placed outside. Lunch was lovely as usual, Neville, Hannah, Luna, and Theo had joined as well. I felt incredibly blessed to be surrounded by all these people and all this love. 

"You ready I asked Draco." He gave me a nervous nod. I got up. "Draco and I have something to tell you all," I said loudly getting everyone's attention. 

"We're having another baby." Draco beat me to the announcement. 

There was silence for a while before everyone cheered and walked to us giving us hugs and pats congratulating us. 

Neville had gotten the job at Hogwarts, Hermione got a job at the ministry, Ron and Harry became Aurors, and Fred and George expanded their Wizarding Joke emporium even more. There were babies everywhere and I knew everything would finally be alright. 

"The other life huh?" I nudged Draco. 

He looked confused for a second but then he caught on. "I guess it wasn't so bad after all." He smiled leaning in to kiss me.
