A/N: I may make Otis sound like an awful person but I believe he's a really great dad and a funny guy, please don't come for me-

She woke when a finger jammed into her stomach. She clenched her teeth and glared at the person to her right. "What was that for?" Alya asked, glaring at Chloe. The blonde slipped a ripped piece of paper to the brunette and said nothing.

'You fell asleep and I'm not letting you get detention, dumbass.'

Alya rolled her eyes and sat up. She glanced over at Marinette who was lost in a daydream and doodling instead of taking notes. Not that Alya could blame her, she kept falling asleep. None the less, she took her gaze off Marinette and listened to the professor.

Marinette added shading to the dress. Sure, she could take notes, but she missed so much of the class that she could study with Adrien. Usually, she would study with Alya but the brunette seemed to have trouble staying awake in class these past few weeks. Although she wasn't sure why that was, it still worried her. Alya was still her best friend even if the AU said otherwise.

Yeah, she still wasn't over the photos - 'but under your bed says otherwiiiissseee!' taunted the voice in her head. Okay, maybe she kept the photos! So what!? Alya was a beautiful girl - smart too!

"Miss Dupain-Chenge, what is the answer?" Marinette blinked. She looked up from her paper to the board. It was a math problem. She hated math.

"A letter of the alphabet?" She didn't mean for it to be a joke but people laughed. With algebra, that was the best you could get.

"Funny... we will talk after class. And might I suggest you pay attention? It might do you some good."

'Great job, Marinette. You've done it again, miraculously failing math!' she thought, mentally scolding herself. Adrien patted his friend's shoulder.

After class had ended, Marinette did as asked and met with Mx Silva, the Algebra II teacher that had oh-so-gently reprimanded her earlier.
"Mx Silva, I am so sorry for not paying attention, I'll try better I swear-"

"No you won't," they said bluntly.

"What?" Marinette asked, confused.

"Your grade. It's dropped significantly."

"How significantly?"

"You went from an 'A' to a 'B-' within one week. And you've shown to be good at academics so if you don't mind me asking, what's going on?"

Yeah, now she had gotten herself into something. How was she supposed to tell her professor that she was Ladybug and her duties were keeping her up at night? How was she supposed to admit that she held herself to high standards when it came to designing and if she didn't get anything done, she would have meltdowns?

Not easy...

"I don't know..."

"Don't feel like you're singled out. I don't want you to feel that way and I apologize if I did," they shifted. "Truth be told, I'm noticing it with a lot of your lowerclassmen and peers a well." She couldn't explain the others. That part was probably the anxiety of akumas. Everyone in Paris probably has an anxiety disorder because of Hawk Mo- no, Velvet Wings. "If something is bothering you, I'd recommend telling someone. Speaking from personal experience, bottling up emotions doesn't help. Even if that person is a friend, getting it out is best."

"Okay... and I'll try to pay more attention."

"As long as you try," Mx Silva gave a warm smiled to Marinette. The dark brunette nodded before leaving the classroom.
