Beomgyu and Taehyun, walking side by side, approached the towering double doors of the school. Managing to arrive on time, they both were well aware that class would not begin for another ten minutes, which sprouted a new idea in Taehyun's already racing head. The two then made their way over to a seemingly empty corner of the cafeteria, Beomgyu trailing slightly behind since the latter was leading the way on this endeavor. Though, it became apparent that the corner wasn't just an ominous, vacant spot in the cafeteria. When they turned around it, Beomgyu noticed three other teenagers, all taller than himself. Feeling slightly intimidated, he kept his distance between himself and them, standing almost directly behind Taehyun, as if that would protect him from the strangers before him.
"Hey," Taehyun greeted them with a small wave.
"Ooh, who's that?" One of them asked, trying to look around Taehyun to get a glimpse at the shy Beomgyu standing behind him.
"Oh," the blonde stepped to the side, revealing the apprehensive classmate behind him, "this is Beomgyu."
"Hello!" A tall, blue-haired boy smiled at him, though he only got a cautious wave from the anxious boy in return.
Beomgyu, mustering up all the courage he could, cleared his throat and tried his best to talk with the three new strangers before him, trying not to embarrass himself in the process, "um, what are... your names..?"
The boy with the pink mullet seemed a little shocked at the straightforwardness of the question, but still answered without hesitation, "I'm Yeo—"
"Huening Kai!" The taller, brown-haired boy interrupted, giggling as he did so, "I'm Huening Kai."
Clearing his throat, the older boy attempted to say his name again, "As I was saying, I'm—"
"Choi Yeonjun! That's our Yeonjunnie," the mischievous Huening Kai interrupted again, sticking his tongue out playfully.
"Huening Kai! Stop interrupting me!" Yeonjun smacked the taller boy's shoulder, leading the two to start bickering at each other, practically forgetting about the others around them.
The blue-haired boy, shyly laughing in embarrassment at his immature friends continued the introductions, even despite the two next to him who kept arguing with each other.
"Um, I'm Choi Soobin," he then glanced over at Huening and Yeonjun, still distracted in their own world, "...Sorry about those two, they're not usually so... aggressive."
The older one overheard Soobin's excuse, and in an attempt to defend his actions he replied with, "Hey! He started it!"
"Did not!" Huening Kai shouted back lightheartedly.
Taehyun put his hands over each of their mouths, "guys! Stop making a scene! You're being loud as hell!"
Both of the troublemakers sighed in defeat, realizing that a few other students passing by had been staring at the two loud-mouths yelling at each other. Taehyun then removed his hand from their mouths and turned his attention back to Beomgyu.
"You okay?" He asked, concerned that his overbearing friends may have frightened him.
Though, his reaction wasn't what any of them were expecting. With a snicker, Beomgyu replied, "yeah... To be honest, it was kinda..." He bit his lip, a small smile tugging at his mouth, "funny."
"What!?" Huening Kai exclaimed, which received a hawk-like glare from Taehyun, "I mean, um, w-what?" He asked once more, cautious of the intimidating blonde standing in front of him.
