The next morning at school, it became apparent that Taehyun was blatantly avoiding his usual group of friends, which, by lunch, had earnestly provoked all but one of them. While the others had proper reasoning to be upset with Taehyun's absence, Beomgyu on the other hand was not entirely mad, as he was more confused than anything. He still was unsure why Taehyun had acted the way he did, he felt as though he had done something wrong, but then again, he was not entirely sure what he had messed up. Maybe I kissed him weird...?  He wondered, trying to rationalize the latter's behavior, but still coming up empty-handed. Sitting at the cafeteria table with the rest of his friends, he shook his head to sort of clear his thoughts.

He then turned his attention to Huening Kai, who seemed to be throwing the biggest fit out of all of them, "why is Taehyun avoiding us!?" He shouted, not caring if other students in the room could hear him, "did you guys do something to make him mad?"

"No, I don't remember us doing anything to make him mad," Soobin admitted, taking a reflective sip from his water bottle.

"Well something must have happened, he's not just avoiding us for the hell of it," Yeonjun groaned, glancing around the room to try and spot Taehyun, but he was nowhere to be found.

"But he was fine yesterday," Huening Kai whined, crossing his arms in annoyance, "I don't understand what made him mad..."

"Did anyone meet him after school yesterday? Or said something to him while he was leaving?" Yeonjun asked, only to be met with silence.

"Ugh, this isn't helping," Huening complained, then getting an idea in his head, "do you think I should maybe try and find him?"

Suddenly, almost as if on cue, Taehyun approached the table in which the rest of them were seated. With both a mixture of confusion and anger, the group could only stare at him with irritated eyes, waiting for an explanation for his disappearance. Though, instead of even a slight bit of clarification, the only thing Taehyun said was, "I need to talk to Beomgyu."

"What about the rest of us?" Yeonjun interfered, exhaling out of his nose in annoyance.

"Yeah, I think we all deserve an explanation," Huening Kai added, practically burning holes into Taehyun with his hawk-like gaze.

"Can I give you one after I talk to Beomgyu?" Taehyun asked, evidently aggravated by his friends' unending persecution.

"What!? No wa—" Huening Kai was unexpectedly interrupted by Soobin placing a hand over the younger's mouth.

"I know you're angry Huening, but we can wait just a little longer, right?" The blue-haired boy questioned, shooting puppy-dog eyes to him in the process.

He couldn't help but succumb to Soobin's persuasion, as Huening Kai often followed in the older's lead. In a muttered voice he replied, "fine..."

Taehyun mouthed a silent 'thank you,' to Soobin, grateful that he had such an understanding friend, "So, Beomgyu?" Taehyun continued, slightly distancing himself from the table, signaling to the brunette to follow in his lead.

Although reluctant, Beomgyu decided to trail along with Taehyun despite his odd behavior. They made their way out of the cafeteria, the hallways practically empty due to most of the students residing in the lunchroom at the time. While Beomgyu was glad that Taehyun finally came out of hiding, he still felt as though it was a strange encounter. His mind raced as they continued their expedition, wondering where the blonde could possibly be taking him. They hadn't spoken a word to each other since their unprecedented kiss on the swingset the day prior, and due to Taehyun's emotionless expression, Beomgyu couldn't necessarily tell how the latter was feeling. He feared that Taehyun was upset with him, but although he was concerned, he still felt curious and desperately wanted to know where he was taking him.
