"Was that, you know, really necessary?" I glanced over at Bruce, who I'd bound with my magic.
"He was fully deserving of the punishment." I replied releasing him. He was shuffling uncomfortably. I narrowed my eyes, something was up.
"Listen kid, this um, nothing personal or anything." Immediately my magic flared around me, right as something slammed into my back, tossing me forward on the narrow street. I twisted and landed on my back with a hiss of pain. I should have expected that. I chided myself, looking up at Captain America as he lowered his shield.
"Stay down kid, it's safer for you." At this I rolled my eyes.
"I'm not a child." I spat at him.
"And I'm not an old man, and yet here we are." He growled. I smirked, and the street stones gave way beneath me and I fell through. Now in the expanse of darkness I chuckled, opened another portal and dropped through, and smiled at the confused looks on the Avengers faces.
"Leave me alone. I do not wish to make any of you my enemy, but if you want to fight me, I'll fight."
"Um. . .should we be worried? She threw Wanda." A man is some sort of weird motorcycling suit asked looking at his companions. The Ant Man. I remembered as I assessed each of them, recalling their names that I had learned with Klaw.
"She's a kid, Tick-tack." Same snorted, facing me. "And we don't want to fight you either, but you must be taken back to the Avenger's tower."
"We aren't going anywhere." Miko chuckled darkly, leaping down from where he had been watching with another cat, and came to sit by my feet. I adjusted my Etat glasses.
"Leave us be."
"Hey, uh yeah, those are mine. Like I made them, so hand them over." Tony told me, opening up his helmet. When I didn't make any move to accommodate to his wishes he hissed, "You little shit!"
Miko made a low sound, and I spun around and threw my head back as Black Widow tried to hit me. As her fist passed over my face, I caught her wrist, and chucked her onto the ground. That's when shit hit the sky.
"Miko, take Etat, and get me later." I told my friend, giving him the glasses. He gave me a smirk and vanished, unnoticed. I summoned my magic and growled. With one flick of my wrists, I held a black sword in each hand. Black mist drifted off of them like flames as I faced the Avengers. For one second, no one moved, then Thor chucked his damn hammer at me. The weapon sprayed lightning as it shot towards me. I leapt to meet it. I spun in the air, gathering energy and side kicked. The hammer flew back, with a blast of black magic, and struck Thor in the chest, sending them crashing through a few buildings. Klaw taught me well. But, before I could watch the rest of the lightning show, I was put on defense again. Black Panther and Black Widow hounded me at the same time, as Scarlet Witch sought to get in my head. Maybe I should have left her and Vision unconscious at our fist fight. I threw Black Widow again, and threw up a shield against Black Panther. He grunted in surprise, and I flung him back, so he collided with Winter Soldier and the Falcon. I turned, and barely avoided getting knocked unconscious by Captain America, only to have my legs kicked out by Iron Man, Suddenly I dropped. Gold sparks told me Doctor Strange had joined the fight. I landed on my back, again, and the Hulk pinned me down.
"You know, I don't think Mjolnir likes being handled, so um unceremoniously." Thor said, bending over me. I rolled my eyes.
"Listen ladies and gents, I'd love to stay and talk, but I have places to be." I smirked, and immediately we were all plunged into darkness. I blasted the Hulk off of me and smiled up at the black smoke that covered the sun. I red spark shone in the middle of it as Wanda, who seemed to have more common sense than the rest of them, seemed to understand what I'd done. I let her open up a small portal letting a blood red beam of light fall over us.
"You can stop this." She growled at me, red pulsing spheres glowing in her palms. In the red light, she looked demonic.
"I don't need to." I replied with a smile. "You know you can't win." This wasn't a face I was sure on, but the look I got on her face, assured me she thought it was a possible option. I smirked to myself. This was a famous line in one of my comics.
"Everyone has their weakness." Captain America told me, walking forwards warily. I chuckled.
"Thankfully that fact is not unfamiliar to me." I said calmly. Again another line from my comics.
"We'll figure it out, you know." Iron Man said in his quirky annoying voice that everyone liked because it was so iconic. I shrugged.
"I wouldn't bust any buttons trying." I felt my power swirl behind me, and I stepped back into a void of darkness. At the right place, I exited beside Miko, who was on top of the White House. How he got there without being noticed is beyond my comprehension. My friend looked at me.
"Well, you're a sight." He snickered, batting my sore arm. I laughed and picked him up.
"Well, we just managed to piss off the worlds strongest heroes, any ideas?" I asked, snuggling him to my chest, and laying back. He licked my chin affectionately.
"When the Hulk got into trouble with his strength, he went to live in a poor area and help people." He offered.
"But, I'm not a hero." I sighed.
"No, but you're not a villain either. You've just been released. Right now you have two paths to pick from. You're a powerful person, Ashley, what do you want?" I hesitated. It had been almost a full year since anyone had called me Ashley.
"I want to hide."
