"Well, we blew it." Natasha sighed, sitting back in her chair and sipping her drink Tony had made.

"Wait, what do you mean?" Steve asked, sitting upright. "What did you guys not tell me?"

"Hypothetically, the strange aliens were mercenaries." Fury said, pacing by a tall window, playing with the small sword stuck through the cherry in his drink.

"Okay, but who sent them?" Steve asked, lifting some files on the invaders and flipping through them. Fury and Tony glanced at each other.

"Somehow, they got information that we had two of the infinity stones, and came to get them." Tony replied, opening a bag of chocolate covered aci berries and popping them in his mouth.

"But. . ." Steve started.

"Steve, it's not a big deal, we finished them." Natasha cut in quickly, glaring at Tony who shrugged.

"You called them, didn't you?" Steve said, suddenly glaring at Tony. Tony shrugged.

"Look here, Rogers. The most powerful being ever know in the universe is gardening in South America right now, with the most powerful infinity stone, and some crazy unknown power." Tony interrupted.

"But. . ."

"I might as well have handed that tribe every alien nuke we ever had plus a lighter." Fury cut in with a growl.

"SHE'S A CHILD!" Roared Steve. "NOT A WEAPON! We just have to approach her the right way. Tricking her into a fight won't help."

"She's afraid." Wanda spoke slowly, eyes focused elsewhere. They all turned to look at her as the red glow faded from her eyes. "She's afraid to use her power. She know's what she's capable of to some degree, but afraid to push it past what she has already done." No one moved, and Steve gave Tony an "I-told-you-so" look.

"I-I watched her kill Gram, she is dangerous, Wanda." Bruce murmured twirling a pen between his hands.

"But how does any of that help us?" Vision asked slowly. "If she has become aware of her power, we might not be able to reach her. But why should she join the team? If she came one when there was an emergency, we can rely on human decency to bring her back."

"That isn't assuring though, my vibranium friend." T'challa said quietly, sitting back. Vision just looked at him quietly, observing.

"Then I am guessing correctly that most are thinking like you? Strange?" The Doctor stood by the tall window that made up one wall as he looked out at the destroyed city.

"She needs a push, it's just not one we can provide. Another powerful person will rise, and they will help us unite with the Blackheart. Till then, leave her alone." He said with out looking at them.

"Ok great, where do we get another powerful person?" Grumbled Clint. Steven turned and smiled.

"We don't. Hydra is preparing one for us at this moment."
