-Narrative-

Alice rushed her wife, Rosalie, and Bella to a New Port Angeles bakery. She explained that she had a vision of four ladies who were Edward's, Alex's, Jasper's, and Emmett's mates. Because the guys were out hunting, they couldn't come and see for themselves, but they will soon.

Rosalie was apprehensive about the boy's mates being humans; that was the last thing the family needed. So she scowled her way down the store strip, while Bella seemed delighted to meet her brother's mates.

They arrived at the bakery, and Alice drew them inside. It smelled like cakes, pies, coffee, and bread. It was extremely crowded, which irritated Rosalie and Prisha because they disliked being in crowded places.

Alice approached the counter and waited for the woman to return to the front. With a beautiful smile, the woman returned and stepped towards the counter. To say this woman was the most beautiful person they'd ever seen would be an understatement.

She had deep brown skin, honey brown eyes, white teeth, long black hair, and dimples on each cheek. She was simply gorgeous.

"Hello, how are you? My name is Mikayla, and how can I assist you today?" She spoke pleasantly to Alice while simultaneously smiling at her family behind her.

"Hi, my name is Alice; this is my wife Prisha, Rosalie, and Bella, my sister and her wife." Alice extended her hand, and Mikayla eagerly accepted it.

"We noticed you had just opened up here and wanted to come in and try some things." Alice told her. Mikayla smiled at her and clasped her hands. "Of course, thank you. What can I get you, and what exactly are you looking for?" Mikayla asked.

Alice gazed along the counter and across the shelves at the many types of treats. Rosalie and Prisha checked out Mikayla while Alice and Bella gazed around. And there was something off with her; she didn't smell like a human would. And her blood was faint, and they could scarcely hear her heartbeat, which was exceedingly slow.

Alice didn't say if the three women were human or not, so they assumed they were. But there was something seriously wrong with Mikayla. What exactly was she, if she wasn't human at all?

"I'll take two of your Raspberry Cream Pies." Alice told Mikayla. Mikayla had assured them that was an excellent decision and had gone to get some boxes to put them in. Alice waited for her to take the pies from behind the counter, but she had gone to the back to get them.

She returned with two wrapped pies and gently placed them in the boxes, turning them around so they could get a closer look at them. Bella bent down to smell them, and to her surprise, they didn't smell like Raspberries at all. But something very familiar. She stood back up with a small frown, but quickly covered it and wrapped her arm around Rosalie's shoulder.

Alice had told her how delicious they looked and asked her how much they cost. Mikayla smiled and waved her off, saying it was on the house. Alice smiled and told her, Thank you. She waved bye to Mikayla and walked towards the door, but it was held open by two women, and Alice stood and stared at them with wide eyes.

They had beautiful brown skin, just like Mikayla; one was tall while the other was short. Prisha had nudged Alice because she was staring too long. Alice muttered a small thank you, and they exited the store.

Rosalie looked back at the two women who had walked into the store and quickly turned back to Alice. "Alice, did you recognize them?" She smiled and nodded, saying, "Yes, they are Alex's and Jasper's mates." She squealed excitedly.
