Narrative

Carlisle and Catalina pulled in front of the bakery where the three women worked. The bakery was fairly large, and nice from the outside. They exited the car and began walking across the parking lot.

This time only Carlisle and Catalina had come to the bakery, the rest of them had other things to do. But Catalina could clearly tell it was because they were nervous.

They walked in and noticed how it looked absolutely beautiful inside. There was three people checking out and boxing orders, it was quite busy today. They waited in line for a good 10 to 15 minutes, before they got to the counter. "Hello, my name is Liz, welcome to Kayla and Riya Bakery. What can i get you both?" She said, politely.

"Hello, my name is Catalina, and this is my husband, Carlisle. Our kids came in here the other day and purchased some pies, which we thought were very delicious. So we wanted to see whether the owner, Mikayla, was in today?" She asked, giving Liz a kind grin.

Liz smiled and said, "Of course, I'll go see if she's in her office. Do you want to buy anything before I go get her?" She questioned them.

"Um, is it ok if we look around first?" Carlisle asked.

"Yeah, most definitely. Take your time, and let any of us know when you are ready." She smiled and dismissed herself to the back.

Catalina and Carlisle proceeded around the bakery, inspecting all of the baked goodies, and Rosalie was correct; these ones did not smell like animal blood at all. So it's probable Mikayla knows what they are.

Mikayla walks out, with Liz behind her. "Can I help anyone?" Liz asked the other customers.

Catalina approaches the counter and extends her hand for Mikayla to shake. "Hi, I'm Catalina; my kids came in here the other day; one of their names was Alice." She said it quietly.

Mikayla's face lit up with a wide smile. "Oh yeah, how were the pies? Did you like them?" She asked, glancing between Catalina and the man standing next to her.

"They were absolutely delectable. So my husband and I wanted to express our gratitude by inviting you and your family to supper. She said, politely.

"Oh, wow, you don't need to do that. I'm glad you enjoyed them." She said, sincerely.

"No, I insist. Please. Do you like Mexican?" She asked.

"I love Mexican food. And I'd love to come. I'll be sure to inform my sisters." She said, giving them both a handshake and sending them on their way.
