I stared at the crumpled paper that I just picked for our company's Secret Santa thing.

And I just knew how much the Lord loves torturing with me.

I've had enough irony for the last months and it's making me think that someone's actually playing a prank on me.

Do they really like to see me suffering?

Kasi bakit palaging naiinvolve ako kay Noah unintentionally?

Even if I try to avoid him, I always end up somewhere near Noah. Just why?

I groaned to myself.

Just the agony of being in the same room after that 'dont bring it up again' talk we had from weeks ago.

He stopped talking to me after that day and the awkwardness every time the two of us are in the same room is just so obvious na wala akong ibang choice kundi umalis na lang minsan.

I didn't want anyone to notice that he's ignoring me.

Mainly because I didn't want anyone to ask questions as to why.

My eyes darted back to the crumpled paper with the familiar scruffy scribble of his name.

Ugh.

I really hate this.

After work, Sari told me na she'd be late dahil may lakad silang tatlo nila Drew at Noah. They invited me but ofcourse, I declined and told her that I'm not feeling well again.

That's the most effective card whenever Sari invites me. I'd probably be bored if I come with them plus I am avoiding Noah.

Well, technically, he is avoiding me now.

He's the one playing the petty person now and not me.

And I'm just doing him a favor of staying away too.

But yeah, I'd rather clean our unit than join them with their thing.

On my way back to our unit, I decided to drop by the mall just to look for something I can give Noah as a gift for the Secret Santa thing.

I know myself and I know how indecisive I can get with decisions. I know that I won't be able to decide what I'll give him until the very last minute, kaya mas okay na maaga pa lang ay naghahanap na ako.

Sipping some of the milktea I bought, nag-ikot ikot na ako sa Podium.

I honestly don't know what I'll buy for him.

Ano pa bang kailangan niya?

Noah's a pretty rich guy.

And he may be so lowkey with his things but that guy wears a fifty thousand peso watch. Regalo lang daw sa kanya from what I remember.

Who  even give gifts with a price like that? Rich people like his family.

He doesn't brag about it but he's really into those luxury items.

Kaya hindi ko alam anong ibibigay sa kanya.

Baka mag-sayang lang ako ng pera para sa regalo sa kanya tapos hindi niya pala gagamitin dahil galit sya sa akin.
