~Sydney's POV~

Larray and Avani are texting and I want to know what it's about so bad!
Kouvr:breakfast is ready!

We all sit at the table and get a plate of pancakes or waffles. Everyone eats then goes their separate ways.
Larray, Avani, and I go back to my room.

You:so who were you 2 texting?
Larray:Ryland likes you back!
You:no he doesn't! Your just saying that so I don't get mad at you.
Avani:he does.
You:fine.
Then Thomas walks in.

Thomas:everyone is going to a carnival, coming with?
Larray:yeah!
You:I'm good. You both can go though, I just don't feel like it.
Avani:are you sure?
You:yeah.
Thomas:ok. We should be back at around dinner time.
You:ok, have fun!

They leave and I change into a swimsuit to go into the pool. I go outside and to the pool. On my way, I grab a towel. I lay on one of the chairs and start tanning.

About 30 minutes later I hear a slash. I look up at the pool and Ryland is coming up from underwater.

You:I though everyone went to the carnival?
Ryland:I didn't want to go.
You:oh.
Ryland:why were you, Larray and Avani texting about?
You:boys. Why would you want to know?
Ryland:sorry.
You:want a drink?
Ryland:lime white-claw.
You:maybe.

I get up and go to the fridge. I grab 2 lime white-claws. I walk back over to the pool and hand Ryland one. Then I sit on the ledge of the pool, so just my legs are in.
Ryland comes and stands next to me but in the pool still.

Ryland:thanks!
You:mhm.
Ry:are you mad?
You:why would I possibly be mad?!
Ry:just sounds like you have a rude tone in your voice.
You:boy problems.
Ry:why don't you tell me? I am a boy.
You:ugh fine. I like this boy and Larray and Avani know who. They keep trying to make me make moves on him but I don't want to because I know he doesn't like me back.
Ry:oh.
You:you just got sad, why?
Ry:I like a girl but pretty sure she likes someone else.
You:why do you think she likes someone else?
Ry:today she has been talking kinda rude to me.
You:so it's someone at the house??
Ry:yeah.
You:couldn't be Kouvr, Mia, or Avani. Larray isn't a girl. But the only other girl at the house today was me.. wait! Do you like me?
Ry:uh. You weren't supposed to find out this way.
You: I-
Ry:that's what I was afraid of, you don't like me back.
You: no. That's not what I was going to say. Earlier Larray and Avani told me you like me but I didn't believe them.
Ry:you probably don't like me back.
You:bitch, shut the fuck up! Why would I not like you back?
Ry:your way to good for me. Your beautiful, dangerous like literally, smart, sometimes kind. And I'm not smart, I drink like every day.
You:ahh, so I'm too good for you now?
Ry:you just deserve someone better.
You:shut the fuck up bitch! You super cute, not really smart, yeah you do drink almost every day, but that's ok! It's just the way you are!
Ry:so, do you like me back?
You:yeah, I do.

Ryland comes to me and kisses me. I kiss him back but pull away.

Ry:what's wrong?
You:I just got out of a 3 year relationship. I don't want to date someone right now.
Ry:oh. So what are we now?
You:talking stage.
Ry:do we tell anyone?
You:how about we keep it secret for now.
Ry:ok.

We spend the next few hours at the pool.
