~Maddie played by Maddie Seyfried pov~

It is a late morning in the Harper house hold. Janey, Me and my mum is downstairs in the kitchen. While me and Janey paints each other nails Mum is serving us toast.

"Toast" Mum says placing the plate of toast in front of Janey. "Girls what have I told you about painting your nails at the table"

"Well whatever it was I wasn't listening" Janey says as she just finish up the last coat on my nails. Mum looks over at me with a raised eyebrow.

"I made you coffee" I say holding up a mug of coffee hoping that will get me out of trouble. Luckily Michael walks in tightening his tie.

"Mum where is my football boots?" Michael asks.

"Where were they when you last have them?" Mum asks.

"On my feet" he says smartly.

"'So wise so young they say do not live long'" My mum quotes.

"What?" Michael says equally confused.

"I am not your slave." Mums says. Me and Janey just watch the conversation while eating our toast. Mum heads to the door just as dad was about to walk in and shouts: "NICK BREAKFAST" this just going into my dad's ear.

"Congratulations you have woken up every Nick in the world" Dad says.

"Except one," Mum says.

"Morning Dad" I say to him as I shake my hands making my nails dry quicker.

"No I'm not giving you any money" Dad says. "Ah purple" he says seeing Janey choice of colour. "Looks nice I gives you that finger slam in car door look."

"Station wagon or BMW." Janey replies. Nick finally walking into the kitchen looking like he is about to sleep on the table.

"Hi Nick" me and Janey says while shaking our hands to dry.

"Oh hi Janey and Maddie" he says following our hands movements thinking that's how we greet each other now. "Dad"

"Also no" dad says almost immediately.

"What."

"I'm guessing your next question is going to begin with 'can I have'" Both now seated at the dining table Nick next Janey. Dad opposite of Janey.

"Wrong it begins with 'can you lent'."

"Funny they both end with no."

"I just want to borrow your new laptop."

"I gave you the old laptop."

"It doesn't work."

"Neither do you, you are compatible."

"Why do you always give me things that are broken?"

"Because you always brake them."

"I didn't brake it" Nick says. "Just got a little damp."

"Nick portable doesn't mean submergible."

"Didn't say that in the instructions."

"How do you know you didn't read the instructions" Mum cuts in.

"Well I didn't want to get the pages wet." Nick says I mentally face palm at that for my twin brother he can really be an idiot.

"I think I'm going to quit while I'm ahead" Dad says getting up from the table.

"So shall I book the restaurant before or after the film" Mum says stopping dad from walking into the living room.

"Wait what" Dad says. "You didn't tell me we had plans tonight."

"I left a note on the fridge. I got Bridgey to put it in her appointment book and I wrote it in lipstick on the bathroom mirror." Mum says.

"I need more than hints Susan."

"I hope my next husband has your sense of humor."

"Look Mr Tomas broke a tooth the only time he can come in is this evening after work." He says. "So how about we go out tomorrow night."

"Alright."

"Excuse me."

"I said 'Alright'."

"Stop it Susan stop laying the guilt trip on me." He says me and Janey look at each other confused. "Okay Mr Tomas if I let him down again he will go to somewhere else."

"All I said was: 'alright'." Susan says also looking confused.

"There you go again. You can't stop it can you? Just guilt guilt guilt." Dad says he carries on complaining after he sat back down. But I toned the conversation out and me, Janey and Nick started talking. During my parents conversation Michael walks back in. I didn't even know when he left.

"MUM football boots!" Michael shouts gaining all our attention. Janey Ran out the door as the room was getting to loud now.

"Didn't you hear me take some responsibility for yourself!" Mum yells back at Michael.

"Hey why are you angry with him and not with me?" Dad cut in.

"Because with him their is still a point." Mum says.

"Oh right" Dad says standing up again. Seriously it like musical chairs but instead of music it yells. "Good good." Dad says before putting an arm around Michael shoulders and says: "Good luck Michael"

"Mum you know you are to good for him," Nick says pulling the seat next to him out so she could sit down.

"I know and you still can't borrow the laptop," Mum says sitting down. "If you really needed a computer why won't you borrow Michael's."

"Because it is sort of personal." He says. Ah now I know why he needs the computer.

"Oh no you aren't chatting up girls on the internet again." I says putting my head in my hands.

"What do you mean again?" Both mum and dad ask.

"Wait you have done this sort of stuff before." Dad says.

"Yeah it worked really well." Nick says.

"Please I end up driving you out to this place and the girl you were 'chatting up with' turns out to be a 30 year old guy name Jeff who lived in his mum basement." I say.

"Alright is he was a man." Nick started. "It meant a lot to me when it started."

"You know when parents say 'they love you no matter what's?" Dad says. "Their lying." He says leaving the kitchen.

"Listen Nick I don't think it is a good idea you might end up with a stalker," Mum says.

"I'm getting one just thinking about it."

Mum rolls her eye place her mug down and stood up.

"Look at it this way mum. Say I did meet the right girl. We might get married her dad might offer mea job in the family business." Nick starts getting up heading to the open door way that leads to the living room. "Which supposes mean I will have to move out!"

"THE LAPTOP IN THE LIVING ROOM DESK TOP DRAWER!" Dad shouts. Nick smiles gives me and mum thumbs up before leaving getting the computer and heading in his room.
