You slowly wake up with the light shining in on you from the crack in your curtains. After slowly coming to your senses you realize that you are alone in the messy bed.
Making your way to the bathroom to brush your teeth, the apartment seems eerily quiet; stale almost. With being a singer, you are always on the go with tours and bookings but you've never felt this way about your apartment before. It was the first real purchase that you made on your own and one that you're still very proud of. You've always had the odds stacked against you, especially in your childhood but you had managed to focus on what you want and made sure to get there. Looking around the bathroom, it was mostly grey but in a comforting sense. The sink was on the left wall, as you walk in the door, across from the walk in shower with clear glass on all sides and straight ahead there is a rectangular bathtub with sharp edges. It was very light in here, something that was hard to come by in your previous houses, filled with greenery to fill the room with clean air.
~ Once you're done freshening up and walking down the short hall to the living room you see that Pete is no where to be found. You can't help yourself but feel sad at his lack of presence. "Oh well." You think and go to get started on breakfast. Reaching for the door of the refrigerator, you notice a note pinned to it with scratchy handwriting.
" Had a wonderful time with you Can't wait to see you again -P"
Picking up the note and reading it you notice a smile has formed on across your lips. "He wants to see me again?" Thinking to yourself
While eating your toast, eggs, bacon, and avocado you check your Instagram and notice a lot of love on the picture of Pete at the sushi restaurant.

You noticed that you were smiling again but continued to read some of the remaining comments. Lots of fans (of both you and Pete) were arguing and speculating if the two of you were actually dating yet. Of course, there were some nasty comments that said you weren't good enough for him and vice versa but you just tried to let them roll off of your shoulder; sometimes they really got to you but you were too focused on how happy you felt about your time with Pete and how lucky you are to have gotten to spend that time with him.
Your manager called, sucking you out of the comments rabbit hole that you had fallen in and let you know that the SNL studio needed you there by lunchtime so it was perfect timing. You curl your long dark hair into loose waves again and put on a black, spaghetti strap one-piece under high-waisted jeans that are ripped at the knees. Throwing a fluffy jacket over your arms, you stop to take a picture.

Before making your way to Rockefeller Plaza you stop at a smaller coffee shop; this adventure was something you picked up when you moved to the city since there were so many smaller shops and nine times out of ten they didn't get the appreciation they deserved. After ordering a chai tea and making conversation you left the comforting aromatic shop and started walking down the busy street towards the designated building. A few fans recognized you and asked for you picture which you were always happy to do since they are the only reason you are who you are today.

Walking into your dressing room you see a note taped to the mirror and your heart instantly started to flutter and you felt your cheeks heat up since the same scratchy handwriting matched the note from earlier.
"Meet me on the roof It's a surprise -P"
You found Audrey who was talking to another assistant by the look of coffee in her hands. "Hey Audrey, How are you doing?" You asked after they had stopped talking, not wanting to interrupt them. "I'm doing good. How are you? Do you need me to get you anything?" She asked with a huge smile on her face. "I'm great actually. Would you be able to show me the quickest way to the roof?" Audrey showed a look that meant she knew exactly what was waiting for you. "Of course. You walk all the way down this hall and then to your right you should see an elevator that will take you up." She said "Thank you.." You were pretty nervous and it must've shown on your face but you started walking in that direction anyways. "Hey!" Audrey said as you were a little ways down the way "He put a lot of thought into this. I think you'll love it"
You could feel the blush creeping back across your cheeks as you made your way towards the elevator, looking at all the doors down the hallway; each of them claimed with names listed on them. The elevator was easy enough to find and when you went to push the button you realized that your hand was jittery with excitement. Which you also blamed the elevator for creeping at the slowest speed it could manage. Finally reaching the roof with a "ding" the doors opened and there stood Pete gleaming at you behind a picnic that was laid out on a blanket. "Lunch?" He asked Your heart and stomach did nothing short of a backflip as you made your way hastily towards the man who had somehow turned your world around in one night.
