I huddled closer to Sasuke, searching for any warmth I could find.
It was the middle of the night and I had the worst fever of my life.

Sasuke had enough of it too. He didn't want cuddles.
so, in the middle of the night, he picked me up and took me to the doctor.

He didn't end up leaving though, making sure I got taken care of properly.
He finally left when I fell back asleep.

I woke up to someone leaning over me, touching my hair. Their face was covered.

"Hello?"
I croaked out, pushing them away.

"Y/n,"
they started. 

"Itachi?!"
I sprang up, letting myself see everything clearer.
Itachi and a blueish man were by the bed.

Itachi motioned to the man, and with a sigh, he left through the window.

"What are you doing? What happened?"
I asked quickly, suddenly feeling dizzy by how quick I jumped up.

Before he said anything, he hugged me, tightly.

"I'm so sorry,"
he stated, but sounded stone cold

"Why- Why did you.. What's going on?"
I asked, gritting my teeth.

I would've cried into his shoulder if the hug lasted a second longer.

"Stay out of this. I don't want you getting hurt,"
he grunted, looking at the window.

"Explain what's going on-"

He shook his head.
"I need to go before anyone comes in. Promise me you'll stay safe,"
he said. Again, is voice held no emotion

"I will,"
I sighed out. He placed a hand on my shoulder, pressing a soft kiss to my hot forehead before heading to the window.

"Itachi-"

He hesitated.

"I'm sorry. I'm really really sorry if Sasuke or I did anything wrong to cause what happened,"
I murmured. A simple nod, he left.

I almost broke into tears.

"Why not take her with us?"
Kisame asked, glancing into the room where the girl sat in the bed, deep in thought.

"She'll get hurt. Let's go,"
Itachi urged.

"Do you care about the kid?"
Kisame asked.

"Of course not,"
Itachi stated. Kisame hummed.
