-Reader's POV-

I waited for Temari to start, simply because I'm lazy.
She took out a few kunai, and I narrowed my eyes slightly.

I looked around the arena, and as she threw them, I used Body Flicker to hide behind a few bushes.

I thought of a strategy,
I had nothing planned, in all honesty.

Temari looked around and I came up behind her, knocking her down. 
"Ya should've seen that coming,"
I chuckled, poking her cheek.

She groaned and threw me off of her.
My clan symbol lit up and I instantly regained my footing.

It ached after, but I didn't mind it much.

'Yang'
my mother's voice rang in my head and the black part of the symbol grew brighter.

I grit my teeth and looked around.
Temari continued throwing kunai at me, which I dodged and threw back at her.

I took out a few of my Shuriken and faced them towards the sun, then threw it back at Temari.
She winced slightly as it hit her skin.
She luckily dodged the kunai, but not the Shuriken.

Temari got her fan as soon as I came close and used it to I was thrown back.
'Idiot'
My mother's voice, again.

"Idiot,"
I copied, grinning.

The barrier wrapped around me again and I didn't hit the ground.
I rushed back to Temari, she threw another kunai.

I dodged, going to the side so I could run up behind her.
But she didn't let me.

I grumbled under my breath.
We were face to face, this worked either way.

Thank you Shikamaru. Your Shadow Paralysis worked perfectly.

I chuckled when she narrowed her eyes at me.
I backed up, Temari doing the same.

"I won't make you wait again, Tema, don't worry,"
I said and the jutsu disappeared.

I lunged at her.
And she tried to grab me.

I jumped up, grabbing her shoulder and forehead.
My foot hit the ground and my symbol lit up as I threw Temari, a flash of wind adding onto it, making her hit the wall.

I took a deep breath, moving my hair out of my face.
The wind made a huge impact, because Temari hit the wall hard that a few rocks fell with her.

I rushed over, seeing as she was probably unconscious.
My breath hitched once I knew she was.

I sighed and picked her up, heading to Genma.
"Y/n is the winner!"
He announced.

I gave Temari to the nurses or whatever they were and headed back.
I sighed once I realized my lip was bleeding.

I walked over to Shikamaru and Naruto, high-fiving them.
"Good job, Y/n-chan!"
Naruto smiled.

"Yup, good job me,"
I muttered with a smile.

Then I winked at Shikamaru,
"Idiot. At least I won against a girl,"
I smirked. He deadpanned.

"You two are from the same species, that explains it. Plus, I quit,"
he said, relaxing his arms behind his head.

"Species?"
I asked.

"The species called 'bitch',"
he told me.

My jaw dropped along with Naruto's.
"Well, you're not wrong,"
I then muttered.

TIME SKIP

I watched as Sasuke came up, rolling my eyes.
'Always has to make a dramatic entrance.'

 Then I burst into laughter.
He needed a haircut baaadly.

I mean look at that.

I couldn't contain my laughter, causing me to have to lay my head on Naruto's shoulder to keep it in.

"You good?"
Naruto asked when my laughter started to die down.

"I think so. Ima go see Gaara,"
I said with a snicker.

When I found Gaara, my heart dropped.
The sand had gotten out and was attacking some men.

"Gaara!"
 I shouted, rushing over to him.

I knew that was like a death wish, and I can only hope :)

I was able to get through him, so I hugged him gently.
"Calm, calm,"
I muttered, ruffling his hair.

I was surprised it actually worked.
Like hella surprised.

"Be careful,"
I told him, knowing the men were dead, dead as hell.

He nodded slightly and his calm demeanor came back.
"Good luck,"
I then said with a smile.

He didn't smile back but he nodded, ruffling my hair.
"You were good against Temari,"
He told me. I gave him a smile in response.

As soon as he was gone, I let out a deep breath.

I slumped against the wall, sitting down.
All of my high spirits had disappeared.

I was about to just lay there and do nothing.
Until I remembered he was up against Sasuke.

'Oh no...'
my eyes went wide as I rushed up and hurried to watch the match.

Bushy Brow's Jutsu: Sasuke Style!

I hurried over to Temari and Kankuro, watching the match.
Gaara seemed to be shaking, which caused me to worry.

"What do you guys think?"
I asked, turning back to them.

"It's been a while... this must show how powerful of an opponent Sasuke is," Temari told me. I nodded with a sigh, continuing to watch.

I watched intently, seeing how Sasuke copied Lee's taijutsu to knock Gaara back.
And I watched the rest, gripping onto the mental tightly.

Then, it got to that point...
Where Gaara was putting himself in a cage.
I grit my teeth.

As soon as Sasuke's fist hit the sand, spikes came out.
My eyes widened slightly, seeing the blood run down his finger.
As soon as he backed away, the spiked placed themselves back in place.

Time passed and I was soon gripping tightly onto both Kankuro and Temari.
The third eye appeared and all of our eyes went wide.
He was going to use that jutsu.
He really is trying to kill Sasuke.

We continued watching intently.
And I prayed neither of them died.

Then, I felt a tap on my shoulder.

"Mind if I kidnap you for a second?"
the voice was cold and familiar

"wai-"
I blacked out before I could attack.
