When you finished talking to the boys in the group Alby showed you to where you'd be sleeping, it was a tan colored hammock. You smiled to yourself when you saw a few of the guys joking around within their group. "Thanks Alby" you said when he handed you a jacket. You pulled it over you white t-shirt.

"Don't mention it. Now Newt is going to show you around a bit" He gestured to Newt who started to jog over to you and Alby "If I'm gone, he is charge" He said patting Newts shoulder as he approached. Newt smiled at Albys words and nodded his head.

"Lets show you around" He nodded toward Alby and he smiled as he walked back in the opposite direction. "Lets go" He fixed the pack that was rested around his shoulders. You nodded as you looked around, suddenly your eyes caught the gap of the wall surrounding the glade. "Greenie wh-" Newt saw what you were looking at then placed a hand on your shoulder to grab you attention. "Ill explain all about that later, now come on" You nodded, taking your attention off the wall and back towards Newt.

Newt was showing you around the Maze when you stopped to take a drink you turned over to Newt and debated on ask the question that was on your mind. "So- uh. How long have you been here" You gestured around you "In the glade.

Newt looked at you, lowering the bottle of water from his lips. He swallowed thickly and cleared his through, he opened his mouth to start talking when you stopped him, seeing his uncomfortable manner. "You don't have to talk about it if you don't want to Newt" You closed the bottle of water and placed it on the ground.

"No, its just. Usually newbies ask about what's going to happen to them. They usually don't ask to many questions about me or anyone else really" He closed his bottle and placed it on the ground. You simply nodded, signaling him to continue talking. "Three years" You felt the air knocked out of your lungs.

"T-Three years?" You couldn't imagine what three years in this place would have been like, everyone looked rough and unkempt. This place didn't even remotely look like a place where anyone would want to be, so the thought of Newt being here for so long made you feel sick to your stomach.

"yea" Newt looked around a bit and looked back at you and could tell by your eyes that you had more questions that you were holding back on asking. "You have questions, its normal. Ask them" He urged you to ask but you were still a bit hesitant.

"How come Minho and Ben get to leave. I thought it was against the rules, to leave the glade" You ask, once again messing with your fingers in nervousness. You looked up at Newt and he shifted in his chair, figuring out a way to word his next sentences.

"They are runners" He said, you raised an eyebrow at his answer. What the hell is a runner? As you looked expediently at Newt he cleared his that once again. "They go into the Maze, that's whats beyond the walls. The maze, they run through it and map it" He finishes by rubbing his hands together. Newt was nervous as well, for god sake there was a girl sitting a few feet away from him. he had never seen a girl before.

"Maze?" You questioned. "Have they found a way out yet?" You asked and expected Newt to answer your question but someone had walked up and beaten him to answering your question about the maze.

"If we had, we wouldn't still be here. Now would we" You jumped at bit at the voice. You recognized the sarcasm in the voice, signalling that it was Minho who had spoke. You turned to face him and Newt chuckled.

"Be nice ya ugly Shank" Newts threw a small stick at Minho as he walked over and sat across from you and Newt. You chucked at the immature nature of the boys.

"I can handle myself Newt" You picked up a stick and threw it at Minho. Newt laughed loudly as the stick hit Minho in the head and he gave you a look of over dramatic shock and betrayal. You laughed at his face. Minho huffed and picked up a stick and threw it at you. You noticed in time to swat it out of the way before it actually hit you.
