6. Trapped Inside

You had been running with either Minho or Ben over the past five days. Usually you ran with Minho but a few times you followed Ben on his rout to try to get a better feel of the Maze. Since your first time in the maze almost a week ago you hadn't really encountered anything super bad yet, and Minho was getting somewhat comfortable with you running with him, though he was still worried when you ran with Ben and not him, because he couldn't look out for you and protect you.

Today you would be running with Minho, he had told you all about how the sections change every night and today you would be going into section 2, the only section that you hadn't run through yet. You got slightly nervous when you were about to run into the maze in the mornings that all quickly faded when you actually stared to run, it was somewhat fun when you were running with Minho, the both of you always found something to joke about during downtime, Minho never suggested to race though which surprised you but you assumed because he didn't feel like losing.

Over the past few days you haven't had another dream like the one that Minho had to wake you up from, in fact you hadn't dreamed at all since then. Though you weren't complaining your thoughts were usually only focused on trying to figure a way out of the maze.

"Hey, shebean you good?" You were snapped out of whatever you were thinking about when Minho clapped in hands in front of your face in an attempt to grab your attention. The two of you were waiting for the maze to open.

"Yea, just thinking that's all" You sent Minho a small smile that he returned with a nod. You had a bad feeling about today, like something was wrong but you never mentioned your feeling about today to Minho, it would only worry him.

"New greenie next week, how much you wanna bet that he's going to run off?" Minho raised an eyebrow at you and you chuckled and rolled your eyes. "What c'mon its funny when they run off" Minho scoffed at your playful glare that you sent his way.

"After they show up you can't exactly call me shebean anymore" You tilted you head to the side slightly and raised an eyebrow. Minho shook his head and gasped dramatically in reaction to your words, he acted like it was the most preposterous thing anyone had ever said.

"I will call you that for however long I wish" Minho stuck his nose in the air and crossed his arms over his chest. "And you are a shebean so I would shut your mouth" You opened your mouth to rebuttable what he was saying but the loud rumble that signaled the opening of the maze made you close your mouth.

"Don't tell me what to do Minho" You scrunched your nose at him and rolled your eye when he just laughed at you. "Lets go already" He nodded and you waited a few second for the gap to get a bit bigger. You nodded at each other in unison as an understanding then both took off into the maze. You following slightly behind Minho since you weren't sure where you were going to be going quite yet.

The first half of the day went smoothly, only bad thing that had ended up happening was Minho stopping abruptly, making you run into his back because you were looking behind you for a few seconds. Of course it didn't end that bad because Minho checked up on you to see if you were alright, you got a bit flustered when Minho pulled you closer to see if your head was hurt in anyway considering you hit your head against his pack, he got worried that you had cut yourself on something sharp but you were completely fine.

Now the two of you were sitting across from each other, eating a little bit of the food that Frypan had given the two of you before you left every morning. You still had a weird feeling in your gut about that day but you were still pushing it down to try not to think about it as much so it wouldn't bother you as much.

"What's up with you today shebean, you seem distracted" Minho's voice made you look up from the food that you had in your hands and focus on him. "Don't say its nothing" He cut you off before you could even start talking "I know theres something wrong so just spit it out" You waited a few seconds before opening your mouth to start talking.
