Zylith.

“Oh? Even… kill for me?” I tilted my head to the side a little bit as I uttered in a sugary sweet honey-toned voice.

Liana Miller visibly blenched when she heard my words. As I watched the little timid girl who implored to be my most loyal underling, I realized that a heavy reformation was in dire need if she were to join us. Reuben would kick her to the curb if he saw her fainthearted pushover character. She had to change for the better.

And as such, I threw at her the same test that Reuben had thrown at me.

Now I waited to see how she would react.

She was silent for quiet a long while, contemplating and pondering fiercely over the pros and cons. Conflicted and dithering due to my words.

When my feet were numb enough to almost give out, I stood up abruptly, startling her in the process, “…S-Sire?” Her form became a bit unsteady when she was alarmed, giving the illusion of her being more pitiful than she really was.

“Your Highness, please! Please wait, I… I concede. This lowly one concedes to your every qualm.” She started grovelling like her life depended on it all over again.

My left eye couldn’t help twitch at this scene in pure satire.

'Oi! I only got up because my legs were numb from squatting down for too long. What is this situation? Do you think I’m some vengeful demon from Hell whose only job is to cause your misery? You think I'm so free as to harass you like that evil head maid of yours? How low am I in your eyes, little miss redhead?’ I couldn’t help grumbling inside of my head, feeling so very wronged at the prejudiced biasedness.

But, even if she mistook my actions, the end result was rather satisfactory to me. I could make peace with the fact that I was a vengeful demon in her heart if her decision was in my favour.

"Well, since you said you are willing to do anything and everything for me, we will strike a deal and sign a contract. And I hope you can change your pushover attitude for your own good." I looked at her and thought, 'Ah! I have so much to teach her.' "And from now on, I am your teacher, not just your Queen. You must learn well and no matter the consequence, you will carry out all my orders. Do you understand?"

Though she looked a bit puzzled, she still nodded in silent consent.

“Now tell me something, what do you think about yourself?” I asked.

Liana looked all the more confused at my sudden question as she failed to comprehend my meaning, “Pardon Your Highness?”

“(Sigh) What I mean is, do you think you are worthy of all the good things in life? Are you grateful for the life that you were bestowed by the Gods from above?” I elaborated.
