Busting the myths

I'm so excited for this!!!!!!

Okay so before we start, there are some of you who have watched the show and do not know about the books- which means that you are familiar with the characters but there might be some confusions so I would like to clear them right now..

People who don't know anything about the series can ignore this. I would introduce you to the characters properly😚.

Okay so first of all;
There are many companion series to The Mortal Instruments(TMI).. I'm mentioning them in chronological order.

1. The Infernal Devices(TID)- the best series ever.. must read. It focuses on shadowhunter families like Herondales (yes Jace's family), Carstairs, Lightwoods (Alec's and Izzy's family) but it was set in the 1870s. It's not like it would have much relevance here but there would be mention of some characters or they may be present- in 2021. One of them is immortal and the other- I'm sure if you've watched the show you know about Brother Zachariah.. At the end of TMI, Brother Zachariah stopped being a silent brother and became a mortal shadowhunter again to spend the rest of his life with the only person he ever loved- the immortal warlock - Tessa Gray. They adopted a Shadowhunter Herondale AND had a kid of their own.

2. The Last Hours- It is an ongoing series that is set right after The Infernal Devices and it focuses on the offsprings of the lead characters in TID. This won't really have much relevance because I'm still unsure about how this would end. Only one book has come until now.

3. The Mortal Instruments- This is the series on which the Netflix show and the movie is set. The first and the most famous series. It is set in 2007. Our main characters in this story would be from TMI.

4. The Dark Artifices- It focuses on the Blackthorns, Carstairs and Rosales families. Clary and Jace are in their 20s. Magnus and Alec adopt kids and get married. Simon and Isabelle are together. It's a really great series with loads of twists and focuses on the world after Sebastian/Jonathan Morgenstern caused destruction and how the relations of Shadowhunters and Faeries were forever tainted. It ends on a cliffhanger wherein Sebastian's and the Seelie queen's kid comes into picture.

5. The Wicked Powers- It is yet to come.. Cassandra Clare (author) is working on it.. it focuses on the younger Blackthorn siblings, Sebastian's and The Seelie Queen's son, Jem's (Brother Zachariah) and Tessa's kids and probably the Rosales too.

Things to be kept in mind;

-In the dark artifices, Jace proposes to Clary but she says no because she thinks she might die.. turns out it was a misunderstanding.
Then Clary proposes to Jace and he says yes. And yes, both of them are very much alive with their memories intact.

-Magnus and Alec adopted 2 kids- an orphaned shadowhunter, Rafael Lightwood Bane (named after the vampire Rafael Santiago who was a great character.. he wasn't a bad person.) and a warlock, Max Lightwood Bane (named after the third, deceased Lightwood sibling Max Lightwood).

-Simon Lewis went from being a mundane to a daylighter Vampire, to losing his immortality and vampirism to a mundane once again and losing ALL his memories about the shadow world (to the Prince of Hell, Asmodeus- Magnus Bane's father- as a price to leave his realm, Edom).. he even forgot who Clary was.. But then Clary and Isabelle (who was in love with him) found him and slowly and gradually introduced him to the world again.. He ended up falling in love with Izzie again and also trained to become an ascended Shadowhunter. He is Clary's Parabatai.

-Luke Garroway and Jocelyn Fairchild get married.

-We don't hate Sebastian Morgenstern.. it wasn't his fault that he was filled with Demon blood and that his father- Valentine- was an asshole.

-There was actually a line of Lost Herondales and Jace has a cousin... His name is Kit Herondale and he was adopted by Jem ( Zachariah) and Tessa.

I would keep on updating this as and when we move forward.. I would let you know when this is being updated!!
