A very long chapter...

I was sitting with grand mom when someone smacked my head from behind. I turned to see Stephen grinning down at me. Then he bent down and hugged both grand mom and me.

Stephen Herondale; the eldest Herondale sibling- named after Uncle Jace's dad. He was Jordan's age and they were inseparable brothers- they became Parabatai at 15. He looked very much like Uncle Jace- the same blond hair, a similar built- tall and muscular- but his eyes were his mother's green and he looked very much unlike his siblings who looked like they were carrying a bonfire on their heads.

I wouldn't exactly call him a playboy, but he did go around with a lot of girls.. be it Shadowhunters, vampires, werewolves, even mundanes. To put it shortly, he was a lot like the younger version of Uncle Jace. The same  free spirited, not-a-care-in-the-world nature.. It was a part of his charm..

Since he was almost always around Jordan, he treated me exactly like he treated Celine- as his baby sister. I might've had a tiny crush on him when I was little but I eventually grew out of it.

"There's my favorite grandson" grand mom said.

"You say that to all of us" he chuckled.

"Well, all of you are my favorite." she smiled.

Stephen sat beside me, "I saw Octavian leave." he smirked, "is he at it again?"

"I convinced him that he could be an iron sister" I said and smirked back, "I can't believe he bought it."

He patted my head and laughed, "see! That's why you're my favorite."

For some reason I could feel my cheeks heating up but I ignored it. Thankfully Uncle Alec entered the dining room on time;

"Oh there you are, your highness" Uncle Magnus said.

"Is that something new you're trying in the bedroom Magnus? Calling my brother 'Your Highness'?" mom asked.

"Ew" Max said, followed by Jonathan making a scrunched up face.

"Remind me why I come to these family dinners again?" Stephen asked.

"Well, it's better than your Lord Montgomery role play" Uncle Magnus smirked at mom.

"I'm going to put holy water in my ears." I said.

"I did not just hear that." Jordan said.

"Hey that's our thing Magnus" dad said.

"He's not even denying it." I whispered.

Jonathan looked at me from across the table and made a gagging expression and I returned the same energy.

Magnus Bane-Lightwood was more than 4 centuries old. He was my favorite Uncle and that was a fact. One of the most powerful warlocks- went from being the High Warlock of Brooklyn to the High Warlock of Alicante. Yet he didn't look a day beyond 19 years of age.. That's actually when he stopped aging. He was very tall, lean and had broad shoulders. His dark, black hair were currently straight and he was harboring a mullet. His high cheekbones, slanted, gold-green, cat like eyes with vertical pupil slits made him look annoyingly handsome. I think he is part Indonesian and part Demon.
