"D, I think you should just give him a chance. I promise he isn't always that bad. Plus we can hang out more!" I said to Demetri, who had just told me he did not like Sensei Lawrence and that he was seriously considering not joining the dojo. "I know Vee, but I really have a bad feeling about him." He said, using my new nickname, in return as Miguel walked up to us. "Who does Demetri have a bad feeling about? And who's Vee?" He said, joining our conversation. "Demetri doesn't like Johnny." I replied as Demetri simultaneously said "Aviva is Vee. Just a new nickname I whipped up for her since she calls me D." I lightly chuckled due to the coincidence of us talking at the same time but answering different questions.

"So he gets a new nickname but I'm stuck with Miggy? Unfair, truly unfair." Miguel jokingly complains. "Awe is Papi jealous of big man D's new nickname?" I teased causing him and Demetri to both go red in the face. After a few seconds Miguel clears his throat and goes back to the topic beforehand. "Anyways, Demetri you can't quit." He says, trying to convince Demetri to stay as I just did. "I got yelled at, got my ass kicked, and then gave him my money. You know who lives like that? Hookers." Demetri said after rolling his eyes. "Hookers don't sound too bad cause they literally get payed to have sex with you. Honestly sounds like a pretty good job at the moment to me." I mumbled not even realizing I said it out loud. They both looked at each other with wide eyes, realizing that I had said something in a sexual context, and then looked to me before continuing their conversation.

"Yeah, but he's not that bad of a guy. You gotta give him a chance. You don't know him like I do." Miguel spoke first. "Ahem. Like we do. Sensei and I know a lot about each other. More than yall  know about me to be honest." I said, trailing off on the last sentence before Demetri scoffs. "That... that sounds like hooker talk." He says making me roll my eyes. "I still do not see the problem. Their job is literally to get paid for pleasure. I mean honestly its a win-win situation." I say, not even trying to mumble or hide my curiosity. They both get flustered but decide to ignore my comment, again.

"Besides, I don't need to learn karate when I have you two." Demetri says matter-of-factly. He then nods over to Kyler who looks up and then turns the other way. "See? No one's gonna mess with you." He continues after proving his point. "Okay you're not wrong, D. But can we talk about why you hate hookers so much. Because you threw out many insults about them which I don't understand." I say obviously still caught on the hooker comments. "As much as I would love to do that I have class so I'll meet up with you guys later." He said as he turned to go into a classroom. "Bye D, catch ya later!" I said with a smile as Miguel just waved. "Okay but seriously, hookers are living their best lives right now." I said to Miguel who just chuckled and kept walking with me until we got to our class.

Miguel and I were walking to the dojo when the conversation from earlier was brought up. "So what's with the whole hooker thing? I mean you just kept talking about how amazing their jobs were." Miguel says to me, chuckling, while nudging me with his elbow. "I mean I dunno. Like imagine getting payed to feel pleasure, it just sounds like a fun job." I replied blushing at the topic. "Woah Vee. Don't get all shy on me now. The topic didn't seem to be a problem earlier and neither did calling me Papi." He replied, still laughing, to my red face which made it turn even more red. "Shut up." I mumbled with a smile on my red face as we walked through the doors.

A quick change later and the class starts. "Where is everyone? Crater face? Nose ring? Slingshot?" Sensei asks after noticing the smaller group. "They quit, Sensei." Miguel speaks up as I mutter after him. "I wonder why.." "Are you serious? I mean, good. That was a test." Johnny says, saving himself midway through his response before continuing. "I wanted to see who the quitters are. Not you guys. You're in it to win it right? You could be at home playing your iComputers, playing your video games, eating candy. Instead you're here, doing pushups, learning how to fight." His eyes looking at each and every student before landing on Eli. "Lip. Look. Even Lip's tougher than those guys. He's no quitter." Sensei says sort of proudly making my eyes widen. "Oh god." I whimper to Miguel, hoping nothing upsets Eli.
