Chapter 32

"Good luck, gentlemen." The announcer finishes before running off the mat, letting the fight begin. They both walk up to their starting positions on the mat. "Face me. Bow." The ref says as all three of them bow. "Each other. Bow." The ref continues causing them to face each other and bow again. "Fighting positions." The ref says, officially starting the final match of the tournament. "Ready? And fight!" He finally says before stepping back. Miguel begins his attack on Robby, throwing punches to which he blocked. Miguel continued with the kick before a series of punches, all being blocked by Robby. Robby then kicks him causing him to flying to the ground. "And stop! Point!" The ref calls out as Miguel slaps the mat.

His anger obviously coming out in an irrational way. From next to me, I hear Hawk yelling out in annoyance. Miguel and Robby go back to the starting positions. "Keene and Miyagi-Do get the first point." The announcer states as everything gets more intense. The next round starts and Robby begins to move in first but is stopped by Miguel's kick. Robby then goes on an offensive set of moves, starting off with a few kicks before doing some punches too. All were dodged by Miguel who then kicks the top of Robby's shoulder, before punching him. Robby falls to the ground which gives Miguel a point. "Stop! One point." The ref calls out, standing in front of Miguel. 

"Yeah!" Aisha yells out, causing me to notice she was back from wherever she went after losing her match. "Let's go!" I yelled out to the both of them. I couldn't choose between two of my closest friends so I made sure not to say names or teams. "Diaz and Cobra Kai with the point. Now it's 1-1." The announcer says, making the entire crowd cheer. Robby touches his shoulder with a grimace, still feeling that kick Miguel sent him. "Ready? And fight!" The ref calls out, stepping back to let the intense battle continue. Miguel goes at Robby with punches that Robby successfully blocks, before sending an elbow to his injured shoulder. 

Robby reaches for his shoulder in pain, giving Miguel the opportunity to sweep his legs out from under him. As expected, Robby falls, but to get the point Miguel slides over and punches him. "That makes it two points for Diaz." The announcer calls out as Miguel stands up, the ref calmly backing him away from Robby. "Time! Time!" Daniel calls out, running over to Robby who is still trying to get up while holding his shoulder. The ref walks over to them, most likely asking if Robby can continue fighting. He then walks away as Daniel gets up and runs off the mat. Robby stands up, still holding his shoulder while Miguel walks to his starting position. "Fighting positions. And fight!" The ref says as he backs up, like usual. 

For a few seconds they both stood almost still until Miguel seized the opportunity and attempted a kick. Robby almost effortlessly blocked it before Miguel went back for more action. He threw punches at Robby, backing him to the edge before it turned. Robby side steps and Miguel's own momentum threw him out of bounds. "Stop! Out of bounds!" The ref says as he walks Miguel back to his spot. The round begins and Miguel goes in strong. He throws a punch, which Robby blocks, before shoving Robby to the ground. He then kicks his shoulder, causing Robby to roll. As Miguel tries to kick him for the final point, Robby does something amazing. He does a double legged, one-handed, kick. The same thing Daniel has been trying to do for the majority of his life. 

"How about that? A two legged kick." The announcer says. Most likely surprised and amazed like almost everyone else. Robby walks over, putting out his hand to help Miguel up. Miguel, angered by the possibility of losing, pulls on Robby's injured shoulder. Which isn't the first attack on his injured shoulder tonight. Booing from the crowd, the ref giving Miguel a warning, Daniel and Robby talking. All of it taking place within 30 seconds before the final round begins. "Whoever wins the next point will be our new champion!" The announcer calls out and in response, the crowd cheers louder than it has all tournament. Miguel and Robby make their ways back to their starting positions. "It's 2-2. Next point wins." The ref says as he walks in between them, holding out the points with his fingers.
