The Protector

3rd person POV...

2 hours went by as the battle raged on between both sides. Both Ethan and Dollion had cuts and bruises from their fight along with Nadia and Lilith.

The problem was that Ethan felt like he was getting tired from mainly using his power the whole time. And that's when it hit him Dollion had only used his power twice and was mainly fighting in hand to hand combat while also dodging Ethans scythe.

Ethan deactivated his power as he looked Dollion in the eye as his fist tightened.

Dollion began to laugh as he stated, "So you finally figured it out huh. You know for a second I was a little worried since our powers are almost evenly matched but then I thought if I cant beat you physically I'll just have to beat you mentally."

Throughout this time Nadia was able to grab Lilith by the collar and throw her several kilometers away giving Nadia the chance to rush into the ship and find Ethans mother.

Nadia was cautios as she made her way into a celled room she then proceeded to activate her scythe as she broke the cell open and found Isavelle unconscious on the cell floor. Nadia was thankful no one was guarding her as she quickly brought her to where kai was and healed any wounds that needed to be healed. As she finished healing Isabelle and the baby within her womb. "Watch your mom she should be waking up in an hour I'll be right back" Nadia stated as Kai nodded and hugged his mother thankful she was still ok. Nadia then started flying up to help Ethan in his fight against Dollion until a sharp pain in her side stopped her. Nadia froze in mid air as she gasped for air unable to breathe as she felt her strength and power diminish. Nadia started falling down fast in mid as she began to lose consciousness.

"NOO" Nadia heard Ethan yell as he escaped Dollions grasp and flew down to catch Nadia a millisecond before she hit the ground. "Nadia you need to heal yourself" Ethan stated as he pulled out the spear that was lodged in her side and tried to stop the bleeding.

"I...I cant" Nadia muttered in between her breathes.

"What!?!" Ethan asked desperately. "Oh yeah sorry about that, the spear I threw at her side is a power disabler spear. She wont be able to use her powers for at least another day plus it hurts like a bitch." Lilith stated confidently before she began laughing

"Now sister your gonna know what it feels like to have everything you care about ripped away from you in the blink of an eye." Lilith yelled.

Ethan looked Nadia in the eyes and kissed her forehead before taking of his jacket and explaining to kai how to apply pressure on the wound.

"Kai I need to put your hands right here and dont take them off no matter what, if you take your hands off she could die do you understand." Ethan explained quickly.

Kai nodded and did as told as he begged Ethan to stay and for Nadia to stay awake while also hoping his mother would wake up soon. "Ethan please dont leave me alone" Kai pleaded.

"You'll be ok your not alone mom is right there and I'll be right back I promised" Ethan stated in order to calm kai down. He then turned back towards his enemies and flew up 50 feet in the air to match their height level.

Ethan once again filled with rage took on both Lilith and Dollion at the same time. Lilith and Dollion were fighting in unison as they forced Ethan to be on defense the entire time.

Lilith playing dirty decided to throw a few of her blasts to where Isabelle,Nadia and kai were to catch Ethan off guard.

Luckily Ethan was able to protect them at the same time. He activated his wings as the metal feathers shielded Nadia, Kai and Isabelle. And a few of his feathers went towards Dollion and Lilith which they dodged with ease.

Dollion began to activate another one of his abilities as he moved his arms in a circular motion and several balls of energy began to form.

He then proceeded to move his arms forward as all the balls of energy aimed straight for Ethan.

Ethan dodged every one doing flip after flip until the very last one which grazed his arm causing him to bleed. Dollion looked at Ethan amused as he saw how tired Ethan had become.

Ethan was now panting from having to protect Nadia, Kai and Isabelle while also having to fight Dollion and Lilith.

"Your very strong, you probably would've been able to beat me if you werent fighting both of us alone." Dollion explained.

"Ethan how about you join us and give us Nadia. Shes hurt anyway so shes worthless to you. If you hand her over we will walk away and leave your family alone. It's a fair trade." Lilith negotiated.

"You...can have Nadia...over my dead body" Ethan stated in between breathes. "So be it" Dollion responded as both he and Lilth charged towards Ethan giving him everything they had in order to get to Nadia.

During their fight the U.S. Army made their way to the town square where Ethan was fighting both Dollion and Lilith. The Army began to use the microphone and yelled, "WE DONT KNOW WHO YOU PEOPLE ARE OR WHAT YOUR INTENTIONS ARE BUT YOU NEED TO DISABLE YOUR WEAPONS IMMEDIATELY!"

Dollion smirk as his green eyes turned purple once more. "NO, KAI CLOSE YOUR EYES NOW" Ethan yelled to his younger brother as he closed his eyes. Kai did as told as he kept applying pressure to Nadias wound.

"Wow your pretty smart being able to figure out my ability in just one round of us fighting." Dollion stated as the entire U.S army began to explode from the inside out. "Unfortunetly that's not enough" Dollion continued as he took advantage of the fact that Ethans eyes were closed and made him crash against the floor.

Dollion deactivated his ability and immediately went after Ethan as he put his hand straight through his stomach, the way Klaus taught him to years ago. Ethan yelled in pain as Dollion told Lilith to give him an ability disabler spear.

Nadia coming in and out of conciousness yelled for Ethan. Ethan looked at her with sad eyes as he tried to focused on her instead of the pain he then put his hand up pointing it towards where Kai,Nadia and Isabelle were. "Ethan...what are you doing?" Nadia asked him worriedly. "I...I'm not gonna make it...but you are" Ethan stated barely being able to talk causing Nadia and Kai to scream as both them and Isabelle vanished.

"DAMMIT" Lilith yelled as Dollion grabbed the disabler spear and plunged it into Ethans lung. "AHHHH" Ethan screamed in agony as Dollion twisted the spear slowly. "You know...people like you really piss me off." Dollion stated coldly as he watched Ethan slowly fall unconscious.

Lilith looked at Ethan monotonously watching him get tortured before stating, " Put him on the ship before he dies, our time is almost up and he can be useful for figuring out where my sister is later on."

"Alright fine," Dollion stated as he dragged Ethans limp body over his shoulder and began flying back to the ship.

Dollion and Lilith made it back to the ship satisfied with their win that day. Little did they know that their win would last long.
