TW: angst, panic attack

George had gotten a new phone about a week into living with Clay and Nick, and had removed all of his contacts. Although it was annoying having to re-add his online friends, he was glad that his step dad or mom couldn't contact him.

George woke up in the early afternoon, at around one-thirty, and Clay laid fast asleep next to him. He soon remembered what they had done the night before, and George couldn't help but smile to himself. He was so in love with Clay, and knew that he would be forever grateful for him.

Trying to ignore how comfortable and warm he was, George gently removed Clay's arm from around him and untangled their legs carefully before climbing out of bed. He went straight into the bathroom to have a shower and brush his teeth. This shower was longer than usual, he stood still for most of it, letting the hot, awakening water fall onto his face and body. He was thinking about how much his life and turned around in the span of a couple of weeks- it seemed too good to be true.
He wondered what was going on at home, what his step dad was doing.

What if he's looking for me. He told me he would. He told me he'd find me. I'm not even that far away, only an hour or so. George started to stress, but tried his best to relax and not think about his step dad. He just wanted to have fun with his two best friends.

George changed into another one of Clay's hoodies and a pair of basketball shorts before leaving the bathroom. Clay was just waking up, stretching his aching body and ruffling his hair. He looked up to see George, and an immediate smile spread across his face.

"Morning," George said quietly.

"Come here pretty boy," Clay held out his arms. George didn't hesitate to crawl across the bed and melt into Clay's touch. His arms were huge compared to George, and they almost suffocated him when they hugged. George lent the side of his face on Clay's chest and let his eyes flutter shut as Clay lightly traced his pale face with his finger. Everything about the moment was beautiful.

Clay heard his phone buzz on the bedside table, so scooped it up, although he didn't stop brushing his finger over George's features. Clay had received a message from Nick. George shuffled up a little so that he could read the message.

i can hear you two talking, i'm fucking lonely come in the kitchen 1:51pm

George and Clay both laughed at the message, and George's head was lifted every time Clay inhaled...exhaled....inhaled....

Another message came through.

stop laughing and get your asses in here!! george can make us breakfast ;) 1:52pm

George rolled his eyes and the two of them got out of bed. Nick had a girlfriend, but she lived in Texas. They texted and facetimed each other almost every single day, but Nick missed her quite often. It was her birthday coming up, so Nick was eventually going to go surprise her.

George and Clay stumbled into the kitchen, where they saw an impatient Nick waiting at the island with a mug of coffee in his hand.

"Morning lover boys," he winked at George, like he knew what had happened last night, and Clay walked over to him before flicking him harshly on the forehead, "ow! You dick that hurt."

Clay then sat beside Nick on the island and George walked into the kitchen.

"What do you guys want?" He asked, "it's not really breakfast time anymore." He took a clean glass from the drying rack next to the sink and poured himself a glass of water.
