Clay spun around at the sound of his name being called, and his heart stopped for a second as he made eye contact with the same big brown eyes he had been missing. George's face was completely lit up, and his eyes were fixed on the tall, dirty blond in front of him.
Clay didn't even have time to completely realise it was George standing in front him, before he felt long arms snake around his torso. Clay hugged George back, even harder. They held each other like never before, and it felt like they were falling in love all over again. They had been so touch starved, and now their bodies were against each other. Tears fell from George's eyes as he tucked his face into Clay's chest and smelled the scent of lavender, this time, not from one of his hoodies- but actually from him. They hugged for at least five minutes, until Clay pulled away and placed his cold hands on George's cheeks.
"Clay I-"
George was cut off by Clay locking their lips together. The kiss was short, but full of love and passion. George pulled away to connect their eye contact again.
"I've missed you so much," he said in a soft whisper, returning his head against Clay's chest.
"George I've missed you more, you don't even know. I've been so worried about you, I'm so sorry we let you go again." Clay placed his thumb at the bottom of George's chin and lifted his head, watching as a tear fell from the corner of his eye.
George immediately retaliated, "no. I don't care about that anymore. I'm with you now, and that's all that matters. That's literally all that fucking matters."
George's head jerked to the side as he felt someone's eyes on the two of them. He turned to his left to see Nick standing there, with his arms wide open. George laughed and quickly kissed Clay on the cheek before running to Nick, and throwing himself into his arms. The two best friends hugged tightly, laughing and smiling.
"George we've been so worried," Nick laughed, ruffling the brunette's hair.
"Yeah, yeah," George jokingly rolled his eyes, "but I'm here now."
Clay walked over, and joined in on the hug. All three of them held each other for a few moments, before pulling away and laughing with pure joy.
George's smile suddenly dropped.
"You okay?" Clay asked, keeping an arm around George's neck.
"Yeah, I was just thinking about how we can't go back to the house because he knows where it is. Where are we going to go?" He asked, trying to hold back little tears of happiness that had formed.
Nick took a deep breath, "didn't really think about that, did we?"
Clay shook his head, before his eyes lit up. Like an idea popped into his head.
"Come with me." The three ran to Clay's car. Clay in the drivers' seat, George next to him, and Nick in the back (like per usual). Nick begun to pass the snacks to George, who opened them and started to feast straight away. Clay pulled out his phone and scrolled on his contacts until he reached the letter Q.
"Who are you calling?" George asked, shovelling chips into his mouth.
Clay turned to face Nick, "does George know Alex? Ever played together?" He asked, and Nick smiled when he heard Alex's name.
"No, don't think so," he replied, looking over at George, who looked absolutely clueless.
"Who's Alex?"
Clay and Nick laughed. "He goes by Quackity online, and he's a good online friend of ours-"
"QUACKITY? OH MY GOD I DIDN'T THINK YOU MEANT THAT ALEX? OF COURSE I KNOW ALEX!" A boost of serotonin shot through George's body. He hadn't spoken to Alex in too long, and had missed talking to him over discord calls.
