Once the trio arrived at school, they went their separate ways, Jesse and Nessie went to their classes and Jason and Roxy 'walked' to their classes together and by that I mean skip
"So, how are things" Roxy asked as they walked across the school grounds
"You mean at home or in general?" Jason countered and Roxy looked at him
"You know what I mean" Roxy sighed and Jason's expression became saddened
"I guess it's getting worse. They fight day and night but they won't get a divorce, my dumbass brother snuck weed into the house last night and put it in my room and they called me a f***k up. At least they agree on something for a change" Jason said and Roxy scoffed
"Unbelievable. What insensitive cruel assholes! How could they do that to you" Roxy said frustratedly and Jason chuckled
"I don't know why you get so mad about it. I mean people are who they are, no one can change that" Jason said
"Yeah, I guess that's true" Roxy said as they continued to walk across the grass
"Remember when everything was easy" Jason said memorably
"Like it was yesterday" Roxy said affirmatively
"I remember the first time I saw my parents fight. I ran away and they never even noticed that I was gone but you and Maeve did and you literally searched every where until you found me at the lake. It's one of the nicest memories I have" Jason said
"In this hell of a town, there's never going to be a lot of good ones" Roxy said and Jason scoffed
"You got that one right" he agreed as they heard the bell ring
"We should make it to at least one of our classes, I mean, we do want to graduate and get out of here" Roxy said and they headed toward the school. Walking inside and heading to their lockers which were respectively right beside each other
"I wish that I could burn this place to the ground" Jason groaned as he opened his locker
"Dude, don't say that and besides we have two years before we're officially out of here. That's gonna go by faster than we can blink" Roxy said as she opened her locker and a note fell out and Jason closed his locker and looked at her as she stared at it with curiosity
"Seriously?" Jason said and when she didn't answer he bent down to pick it up
"What? This is just... nothing" Roxy said rushed with hesitation as Jason handed it to her and she just shoved it in her bag
"Don't you think it's a little weird that you're dead sister's ex-boyfriend is sending you creepy letters and confessing his 'undying love for you' every week" Jason asked as he leaned against his locker
"I do but I'm not prepared to just go up to him and say that I don't feel the same and he's probably only doing this because Maeve is gone" Roxy said and Jason chuckled
"Rox, take it from me, that guy is not gonna give up until you sleep with him" Jason said and Roxy nodded before she scrunched her eyebrows in confusion
"What do you mean take it from you?" Roxy asked
"I'm a guy and I've gotten a lot of girls and the way things are going with this creep, which I gotta say is similar to that of someone off snapped" Jason ranted until Roxy rolled her eyes and interrupted him
"Jaybird, you know I love it when you talk about your latest conquests but you gotta get to the point" Rory said
"Right, I think if you continue to let him stalk you that it is going to get yourself killed" Jason said and Roxy chuckled
"Jay, you're a literal badass, everyone is afraid of you. Plus, you know you're my bodyguard anyway" Roxy said as nudged him with her elbow
"I punched one guy and that was because he was beating you up" Jason said and Roxy scoffed
"Actually it was a little more than that. At my Dad's wedding, some guy insulted the outfit I was wearing and you put him in a chokehold until he apologized and at our mothers high school reunion, my weirdo cousin started hitting on me and kicked him in the nuts" Roxy said and Jason chuckled
"It's still weird to think I put Jesse in a chokehold at a wedding" Jason said
"That's exactly what I was thinking" Roxy said
"I was saving that for his wedding" Jason said in thought
"That sounds like a brutal wedding gift" Roxy said as they started to walk down the hall and Jason shrugged
"Better than what I was giving you, Nessie and Sam" Jason said as he walked ahead of her and she caught up
"What?" Roxy asked
"It's no big deal. I was just going to tell the guy if he ever ever broke your heart that I would kidnap him in his sleep, take him to the woods, give him an eight minute start and then hunt him like a rabid dog" Jason shrugged
"Jesus that's violent... I like that idea" Roxy said and Jason smiled at her before shaking his head
"I knew you would, Nessie not so much" Jason said
"What about Sam?" Roxy asked
"What she doesn't know can't hurt her" Jason said as he adjusted his black leather jacket
"That's gonna come back to bite you in the ass" Roxy said with a laugh and they heard the clicking of expensive heels behind them and Roxy could hear Jason sigh as he closed his eyes
"F**k my life" Jason muttered before Roxy forced him to turn around. There stood Sophia Hart and her glorious minions, Katy Morgan and Miley Mayron in all of their glory
"Hey, hot stuff" Sophia said enthusiastically
"Hello, Mother-" Jason started but Roxy elbowed him in the ribs
"What can we do for you, Sophia?" Roxy questioned as she positioned her books on her hip
"So, I was wondering if you could do me a solid and go to the Enchantment in the sky dance with Joey, you see Nick doesn't want to go if Joey doesn't want to go and it's a whole mess" Sophia said and Jason chuckled
"Yeah, Like Roxy's gonna go out with some creepy loser so you can have your precious-" Jason started again but this time Roxy stomped on his foot
"Sorry, I can't go, I got some thing with my mom, it's probably going to be boring" Roxy said
"Why don't you ditch the old lady?" Katy questioned and Roxy sighed
"Well, for starters, she's only eighteen years older than us and because she's my mother and I actually care about her feelings unlike you cold hearted bitches" Roxy said before turning around and walking away
