The next night Roxy waited until her mother was asleep before snuck down the stairs to the door and opened it to reveal Jason standing there
"Is she out?" Jason asked
"She took a sleeping pill" Roxy informed as she closed the door behind him and turned around to see him looking at an image, Roxy stayed silent as she knew what picture he was staring at
"It's been a year and I still can't believe it" he remarked and Roxy walked toward him and put a hand on his shoulder
"Addison always knew she'd go out with a bang" Roxy said as she leaned her head on his shoulder
"Probably not the same bang" Jason replied
"Jason, she...she wasn't okay. She was miserable but knew how to make other people happy and I think that in the end, we made her happy for the indiscretion" Roxy said
"But we lied about it. The cops asked us if we knew why she died and we told them we didn't" Jason said and Roxy sighed
"It's what she would've wanted" Roxy said and Jason turned toward her
"Roxy, we don't even know if she killed herself, she said that there were people trying to hurt her, maybe that's what happened" Jason said and Roxy nodded
"Yeah, maybe but the past is the past and we gotta focus on the future which right now is complicated for everyone" Roxy said
"You're right, Let's just get this over with before my brother finds another drug that my parents will notice" Jason said as he turned toward the garage door
"You should really kick the shit out of that asshole by the way" Roxy remarked
