Gray woke up panting, sweat rolling down his face. Another strange dream. Well, more than likely it was another memory. After all, the last visions were. A memory of his mother teaching him reinforcement magic.
Well, not his mother. The other him's mother. Gray sighed. He didn't want to go back to those depressing thoughts, of the fact he robbed himself of his own life. It was unsettling.
Gray shook his head. He should get ready for the day. Despite it being the weekend, he still had some work to do. He touched the bandages across his chest. He needed to be stronger, in case if one of his servants wasn't near him, he could protect himself.
Touching the bandages again, Gray was glad that it happened to be the weekend. He didn't want anyone to find out about these bandages, and hopefully his injuries would be healed by Monday.
. . .
The living room had been cleared out, the couch and table moved out of the way. Gray practiced thrusting with a wooden spear, before doing some more movements.
"No." Said Scathach. "Tilt the spear a little higher, keep your feet wider apart and bend your knees slightly." She commented.
Gray took her advice and adjusted his stature, before proceeding through the movements, getting better at using the spear.
"Oh, are you teaching Gray?" Asked Tamamo as she noticed what the two were doing.
"No. I'm not his teacher. Forget it." She said as she left the room.
. . .
"Hey Scathach?" Asked Gray.
"Yes Master?" Responded Scathach.
"Do you want to accompany me outside?" He asked her.
Scathach raised an eyebrow. "Why?" She asked.
Gray shrugged, before slightly wincing due to leftover pain from the beating he was giving.
"Well, you've been in the Land of Shadows for a long time. I figured since I was heading out, you could join and see what the world has become like." Stated Gray.
Scathach thought about it for a moment, before nodding. "Fine." She said. "Someone needs to be by your side in case you get attacked again Master."
. . .
"What is this place?" Asked Scathach.
"It's called a Mall. It's a collection of stores." Gray stated as Scathach's eyes looked all around the mall. Scathach followed Gray as he walked through the mall before they arrived at woman's clothes store.
Scathach looked at him oddly, while Gray just replied, "We're getting you some clothes." He stated.
"What? Why?" Asked Scathach, her face not showing the suprise that she felt.
"Well, you can't just walk around in your outfit all the time. People will think you're some weirdo or an extreme cosplayer." Gray explained.
The reached the front desk, where Gray asked, "Excuse me, could you help my friend here pick out some clothes."
